-. Warm-up
1. Change greetings with students and ask them “ What date is it today?” encouraging them to answer “ It’s May 11th.”
(设计意图:由学生的回答“五月”引出将要复习的12个月份的名称。)
2. Play the CAI, ask and answer.
n How many months are there in a year?
n There are twelve months in a year.
n What are they?
n January, February, March, April, May, June, July, August, September, October, November, December.
2. Ask students “Some months have 30/31days, what are they? Only one month has 28 or 29 days. What is it?”, choose some students to answer.
(设计意图:具体复习12个月份名称以及这些月份的天数特点。)
二. Presentation
1. Students look at the CAI, teacher tells them that there are 12 months in a year and there are 365 or 366 days in a year. Then ask students “ Do you know how many seasons are there in a year?”, elicit “ season”, write the word on the blackboard, model, students repeat.
2. Play the CAI, encouraging students to answer “ There are four seasons in a year.” Then say the names of the seasons with students together: spring, summer, autumn, winter. Write the four words on the blackboard.
(设计意图:四季的表达学生们在二年级就已经学过,学生们根据课件中的四季图片可以帮他们猜出SEASON 一词的含义。)
3. Help students to divide the 12 months into four seasons: spring starts in March and ends in May; summer starts in June and ends in August; autumn starts in September and ends in November; winter starts in December and ends in February.
(设计意图:帮助学生理解每个季节中所包含的具体的月份。)
4. Play the CAI, students listen and repeat:
There are four seasons in a year. Here are the names of the year: spring, summer, autumn, winter. Four seasons make a year.
5. Students read the four seasons together.
6. Show students the word cards: spring, summer, autumn, winter. Then use scissors to cut each card into two parts: spr,ing; sum, mer; au, tumn; win, ter. Choose eight students to come to the front, give each part to each student, ask them to put two parts together and form a word, then stick the word on the blackboard.
(设计意图:这个游戏可以帮助学生更好的记忆这四个单词。)
7. Play the CAI, students have a discussion: What’s the weather like in spring/summer/autumn/winter?
(设计意图:学生自主讨论,可以让他们相互之间扩充知识面,同时经过准备后,他们将更有信心回答老师的问题。)
8. Choose some students to use some adjectives to describe the weather in the four seasons: warm and rainy in spring, hot and sunny in summer, cool and windy in autumn, cold and snowy in winter. Write the adjectives on the blackboard.
(设计意图:帮助学生复习以前所学过的形容词,并用这些词恰当地来形容四季的气候特点。)
9. Do an exercise: students look at the CAI and fill in the blanks.

10. Play the CAI, four students a group, try to use sentences to describe the pictures of four seasons.
(设计意图:鼓励学生用英语来描述四个季节。)
11. Tell students that my favorite season is summer because I can eat ice cream and go swimming in summer. Then ask students to work in groups and discuss the following questions “ What’s your favorite season? What do you do in spring/ summer/ autumn/winter?” Choose individuals to answer.
(设计意图:引导学生模仿教师所给的例子来讨论自己最喜欢的季节以及在这些季节里所所的事情,培养他们的口语表达能力。)
12. Tell students “ We can do many things in every season. All the seasons are wonderful. Let’s write about one of the seasons. Show students a small blackboard:

13. Have a discussion with students, then ask some students to say something about their favorite seasons.
14. Play the CAI (a castle). Ask students “ Do you know who lives here?” eliciting the king and his four sons.
15. Play the CAI, students listen to the self introduction of the king and his sons.
16. Explain the new words in the story: if, store, get in, kingship, agree.
(设计意图:在解释这些单词的意思时,没有直接告诉他们单词的发音,而是鼓励他们用以前所学的元音字母的发音自己拼读出这些单词,这样,即可以巩固以前所学的字母发音,又可以更好地记忆这些单词。)
17. Students work in groups and discuss the following questions:
(1) What was the king’s name?
(2) How many sons did the king have?
(3) What were the names of the sons?
(4) What did the four sons agree to do?
(设计意图:事先讨论问题,准备充分才会更积极的举手回答。)
18. Choose some students to answer the questions.
三. Homework
1. Copy the new words: season, spring, summer, autumn and winter.
2. Listen to the tape and read the text fluently.
3. Let students ask their parents the following questions and fill in the form.

【教学反思】
本节课我所教授的内容并不难,四季名称学生在二年级就已学过。所以整节课中我的教学重点是放在口语交际上。为了使注意力易分散的孩子们饶有兴趣、主动地投入到口语交际中去,我在教学形式上争取多样化,交际情境尽量新颖活泼,使学生们入情入境,克服心理障碍,带着丰富的情感和浓厚的兴趣,积极主动参与交际活动。同时我在情境的创设上尽量体现层次性,经过精心的安排,内容由易到难,同时在回答问题中学生的选择上也是有所安排的。我让成绩中等或偏下的学生回答一些简单的问题,提高他们学习英语的积极性,让成绩优异的学生回答难度较大的问题,以拓展他们的口语表达能力,这样,让每一个孩子都有运用的时间,都有表现的机会,都有得到肯定的可能。
