owner.左起为当初担任德碁总经理陈正平、施振荣、政务委员郭南宏，科学园区管理局长薛香川宏碁在搭上全球PC产业成长风潮后，深思必须提升台湾在PC关键零组件相关产业地位才能让台湾在全球市场深入茁壮，所以，宏碁在1989 年决定投入DRAM产业，与德仪分别出资74%和26%(总资本新台币31亿元)设置德碁半导体。德碁在1990年代相当成功，但以后随著提供技术德仪竞争力丧失且弃守DRAM产业，德碁营运情况每下愈况，宏碁在1999年将30%持股卖给台积电，正式退出DRAM产业。DRAM（Dynamic Random-Access Memory），即动态随机存放器最为常见系统内存。DRAM owner.宏碁在1989年还曾因侵犯IBM键盘控制器著作权而赔偿高达900万美元，自此以后，宏碁在知识产权下了很大功夫，在1992年以矽奥技术(chip-up，只要换CPU就可让计算机升级)获得专利，但其它台湾PC业者将这种技术看成是习以为常技术(习见)而拒绝承认也不愿支付任何权利金，当时宏碁成为众矢之，甚至被同业指控是迫使产业外移凶手，施振荣碍于全球产业竞争激烈而不愿对同业采取法律途径，一直到4年后此技术也在美国取得专利，同业才愿意给付权利金，今后来业界广称矽奥事件可说是过去不将智能财产权当一回事台湾IT业者，日后开始正视智产权重要性转戾点。第9页This
