The most useful application deals with the testing of items as they come off an assembly line, where each test or trial may indicate a defective or a nondefective item。 We may choose to define either out

Each trial is called a Bernoulli trial。Consider an experiment consists of independent repeated trials, each trials result in two outcomes “success” and “failure”, and the probability of success, denote by , remains constant。 Then thi
