Teamwork shows us how other people’s roles fit the purpose of the group, and it teaches to be patient and how to respond to different people. 注意: ①无须写标题,不得照抄英语提示语; ②除诗歌外,文体不限; ③内容必须结合校园生活中的一个事例; ④文中不得透漏个人姓名和学校名称; ⑤词数为100左右。参考范文: 练习(一) 完成句子综合练习 1. only to be told (that) 讲解:only to do sth.在句中做结果状语,一般用逗号和句子主干分开。它表示出乎句子主语意料之外的或不如人意的结果。如:Many reporters hurried to the airport, only to be told that the superstar had already left.很多记者匆忙赶到机场,结果只是被告知说那个超级明星已经离开了。I returned home from work, only to find my house broken into.我下班后回到家中,结果只是发现我家被人破门而入了。 2. It won’t be / take long before 讲解:it won’t be very long before +句子(谓语动词用一般现在时)。如:It won’t be long before I return to Beijing. 我很快就要回北京了。It will be two weeks before she comes here. 过两周她就来了。How long will it be before we meet? 我们过多久见面? 3. was my computer repaired 讲解:not until置于句首,后面的句子或主句需要部分倒装。其结构为:Not until+从句或表时间的词+助动词+(主句)主语+谓语+...。如: Not until the teacher came in did the students stop talking. 直到老师进来学生们才停止讲话。Not until next week will the sports meet be held. 直到下周才开运动会。 not until的强调结构为:It is / was not until+从句/表时间的词+that+...。上面两句改为强调句为: It was not until the teacher came in that the students stopped talking. It is not until next week that the sports meet will be held. 4. has made it possible for us 讲解:make / feel / think / find / make + it + adj. / n. + (for sb.) + to do sth.结构中,it为形式宾语,真正的宾语为动词不定式,形容词用作宾语补足语。如:The heavy storm made it impossible for us to drive to the town. 暴风雨使我们无法开车到镇里。He makes it an ordinary rule for him to read English every morning. 他早上读英语已成了惯例。 5. what a stupid/foolish mistake I had made 讲解:由what感叹句用来作宾语从句,注意语序。如:The shocking news mad me realize what terrible problems we would face. (2011北京卷) 这个令人震惊的消息让我意识到我们将会面临多么严重的问题。 6. hear the girl reading English (aloud) 讲解:hear / see / watch / find sb. doing sth.“听见、看到、发现某人在做某事”,强调某人正在做。注意比较see sb. do sth.,指“看见某人做过某事”,是看着事情的发生全过程。如:I saw she send her children to school yesterday morning. 昨天我看到她送她女儿去学校。(强调看到做过这件事) I found him following me. 我发现他正在跟着我。(强调的是正在进行的动作) 7. However (No matter how) hard you try 讲解:考查让步状语从句。此时,however与no matter how可相互替换,意为“无论多么……”。如:However you work hard, the boss is just not satisfied with you.=No matter hard you work, the boss is just not satisfied with you. 无论你工作有多努力,老板就是对你不满意。 8. a quarter of whom / of whom a quarter 讲解:代词/数词 [包括分数词和百分数] + of which[指物]/whom[指人]”结构表“部分与整体”的所属关系。如:I have invited more than one hundred friends to the party, most of whom are my business partners.我邀请了100余人参加宴会,其中大多数都是生意伙伴。It now has 20,000 hectares of land, more than two thirds of which are under cultivation. 现在它拥有两万公顷土地,其中三分之二之多已经耕种。 9. so expensive a house 讲解:so + adj. + a/an + n.单数=such + a/an + adj. + n.单数,意为“如此……的一个……”。另注意:such + adj. + n.复数/n.不可数,so many / few + n.复数,so much / few + n.不可数。如:so naughty a boy=such a naughty boy如此顽皮的一个男孩;such noisy children如此吵闹的孩子 such bad weather如此糟糕的天气 10. would/could have suffered (even, much, far, still) greater /more loss 讲解:与过去事实相反的虚拟语气,主句用would/could/should/might + have done。本题前半部分表达含蓄的假设条件,but for意为“要不是”。另注意:without, given, considering, otherwise, or等运用于虚拟语气当中。如:What a pity! Considering his ability and experience, he might have done better. 真是可惜!考虑到他的能力和经验,他本来可以做得更好的。He hesitated for a moment before kicking the ball, otherwise he would have scored a goal. 在踢那个球之前,他犹豫了一下,否则他可以进球的”。 Given a certain opportunity, he could have shown more talent. 若给一个机会,他本可以表现出更多的才能。 完成句子专题练习·非谓语动词(1) 1. to have been applied to 2. what role to play/I will play 3. to be distributed 4. Not having finished (doing) 5. happened to see /witness 6. (in) dealing with 7. Brought up abroad 8. (having been) laid off 9. but to pass himself off as 10. Being exposed to the sun 短文写作 One possible version: Years of school life has taught me a lot of things, of which teamwork is the most important for me. In fact, I didn’t realize its importance until I was chosen monitor of my class in my senior middle school. At first, I did most of the duties myself while other students care little about class activities. As a result, I was tired out and depressed. Then I turned to my teacher and he advised me to cooperate with others. Thus I began to recognize the strengths of my classmates and have everyone do their part in class. However each coin has its two sides. Some people hold the opinion that team work does more good than harm. Last but not least, we have a chance to improve ourselves while cooperating with others. Nevertheless, critics don’t take it the same way. They claim that team work has more drawbacks. By next year, we will have finished the whole book. 4. wouldn’t have submitted to 讲解:本题考查虚拟语气的if条件句的用法。从句为if sb had done, 与过去事实相反,主句为sb would/should/might/could have done。根据汉语提示,“不会屈服于”,选择would。 5. His suggestions being rejected 讲解:本题考查动名词的复合结构充当介词宾语。“被拒绝”用动名词的被动语态,being rejected。 6. has been cut off 讲解:本题考查固定句型:It is the first/second/third time that sb have done, 是某人第几次做某事的时间。同时注意时态的变化:It was the first/second/third time that sb had done。 7. whoever makes a major breakthrough 讲解:本题考查宾语从句的用法。Whoever引导的宾语从句,相当于anyone who,表示无论谁;同时在从句中充当主语。另外考查短语“取得重大突破”,make a major breakthrough。 8. I known what would happen 讲解:本题考查倒装句的用法。根据主句的would have done,可推出从句是与过去事实相反的 if条件句的虚拟语气。当if从句中含有had, should , were,可把这三个词放在句首,进行倒装。如:If I were you可转换为Were I you 。 9. from whose effect 讲解:本题考查非限制性定语从句。whose指代先行词的所有格,遭受……的影响,短语suffer from…effect。 10. to have been working on 讲解:本题考查动词不定式的时态的变化。表达“一直在研究”,所以使用完成进行时。 完成句子专题练习•非谓语动词(2) 1. having been trapped in 2.
