Topic 3 The school sports meet is coming
教学内容分析及课时分配建议:
本单元以Playing Sports 为主题。第三话题以学校运动会及奥林匹克运动会为中心,在复习前两个话题所学的基础上,引入新内容的学习。Section A通过Yu Ting 和Li Ming关于各自在即将举办的学校运动会中参加的项目的讨论,学习will表示一般将来时的用法,学习询问和表达意愿和打算以及鼓励他人的功能用语,主要句型有:Which sport will you take part in ? I’ll be in the long jump and the high jump.I believe you will win等;Section B 通过Kangkang 和Michael打电话约定一起参加学校运动会的见面时间、地点等相关事宜,学习shall表示一般将来时的用法,学会有关约会的表达式,主要句型有:What shall we take?When shall we meet ? Where shall we meet ?,同时通过对辅音连缀和弱读的发音规则的学习形成正确的发音; Section C通过阅读的输入,学习有关奥林匹克运动会的词汇,并在提示词的指引下用一般过去时叙述学校运动会的情况。Section D 通过阅读Kangkang的日记,复习巩固所学有关运动会的词汇和表达法,同时要求他们结合课本内容和已有的有关奥运会的知识,写一篇有关奥运会的文章。
Topic 3的的内容可以用5个课时来完成。

教学设计思路:
本节课为本话题第五课时,主要活动为1和Project。Section D是一节复习课,在综合复习Sections A-C的词汇、语法和功能句的基础上,巩固学生本周的学习内容。首先学生展示短文写作的作业,然后观察Kangkang的日记格式,将自己的作业改成日记形式。接着通过阅读1,完成1下面的5个判断。在综合复习总结了Grammar and Functions 中词汇、短语和功能句的基础上,做大量相关练习,最后通过Project 的写作练习,综合运用本话题所学知识。
Ⅰ. Teaching aims
1. Knowledge aims:
(1) 能正确拼读本话题单词表中的单词。
(2) 能在英语对话或文章中听懂并能运用本单元的重点短语。
(3) 能正确地理解将来时态的用法,能正确选用将来时态的形式。
2. Skill aims:
(1) 能用英语和同学朋友简单谈论奥运会。
(2) 能介绍自己参加运动会的经历及意义。
(3) 能写一篇有关奥运会的文章。

能体会和学习体育竞技精神。

能正确运用下面短语的过去式写一篇日记:

All the students read their passages to their partner.

Design several questions to help students know how to write a diary:

Each group answers one question.

Ask the students to write a diary by using the following phrases:
Hold a sports meet, feel excited, run fast, do badly in, do well, take part in, do one’s best, be the first to do sth., cross the finishing line, want to do sth., be a soccer player, do more exercise, be able to do sth.
Correct the two passages as an example for the students to correct their own passages.
Let the students choose out the best three diaries and read them for the
whole class.
Organize Member A to correct the mistakes of Member B and Member C’ s diaries by reading them with B and C together.
Write their own diary, remembering the using style. First, the students should know the past forms of the verbs:
hold-held; feel-felt; run-ran
do-did; be-was, were
cross-crossed
Students can check the past forms in their books or ask the teacher.
Two students write their diaries on the blackboard.
All the Member A hand in their diaries for checking.
All the Member A read B and C’ s diaries and correct the mistakes.
Remark:学生要注意在写日记时通常使用过去时态。

was held in Beijing in 2008. Its slogan was “One world, one dream”. We hope people from all over the world have a happy family. Its mascots are Fuwas, which stand for “Beijing welcome you”. We
are friendly to all the people around the world.
One student report the essay while others hand in read their own essays.
通过获取关于奥林匹运动会的信息再进行写作,并在教师和同学的帮助下进行修改的任务活动,使学生以实践、合作等方式来综合使用本话题所学知识。
Remark:学生可在教师和同学的帮助下进行写作任务,并改正拼写、标点、词汇和语法方面的错误。

该部分的目的在于布置家庭作业,并提出要求,养成学生课后复习和课前预习的良好学习习惯。
