Step 1 Pre-reading
T: Good morning, boys and girls.
S: Good morning, Miss Zhang.
T: Before the class, we enjoyed a story. The name is <Three Little Pigs>. Do you like it?
S: Yes.
T: I like it, too. It’s funny. And I like pigs, I think they are cute and smart. What about you? What animals do you like?
S:I like dogs.
T: Why?
S: They’re lovely.
T: Do you like monkeys?
S: Yes.
T: So today we’ll learn a story about monkey. In the story, he has three friends. Who are they? Listen carefully.

T: In the story, what will happen to them? First let’s look at the pictures.

Step 2 While-reading
T: Look at these three pictures, what season is it?
S: It’s spring.
T: Where are they?
S: They are in the field.
T: In these pictures ,monkey is very happy. Look at the last pictures, is he happy?
S: No.
T: Why? Now let’s watch the cartoon and answer my question: What’s wrong with monkey?(播放动画)
T: What’s wrong with monkey?
S: Because he has no food.
T: What about his friends?
S: They have lots of food.(学习lots of)
T: Monkey has no food. But his friends have lots of food. Why?
T: Now let’s read picture 1 silently and answer my question.

S: Dog is planting potatoes.(学习单词plant)
T: What does monkey say?
S: Monkey says: I’m going to plant potatoes, too.
T: Wonderful! Now let’s listen and imitate.
T: Now can you read it emotionally? Who can try?
学生有感情朗读第一段。
T: Look at picture 2 and picture 3, what is Panda doing? And what is Cat doing?
Now read picture 2 and picture 3 silently and underline the answers.
T: Got it? What is Panda doing?
S: He is planting tomatoes.
T: What does Monkey say?
S: He says: I’m going to plant tomatoes, too.
T: What is Cat doing?

T: What does Monkey say?
S: He says: I’m going to plant corn, too.
T: Now let’s listen and imitate.
T: Now can you act it out? First I’ll try.
T: Hello, Mr. Panda.
Hello, Mr. Monkey.
What are you doing? I’m planting tomatoes.
Oh, I’m going to plant tomatoes, too.
T: Now can you make a conversation in pairs? Please try it!

T: He doesn’t do it. So winter comes, what happened to Monkey?
S: He has no food.

Work in groups and try to make a conversation about this story.
