Describe the people’s appearance、Character and Feeling you know. 教学过程Teaching procedures: Step1 lead-in Greet students and introduce learning aims. Step2 Presentation 1.Introduce and describe some people for students in English,and then encourage students to introduce and describe themselves. 2.Brainstorming Do you know these words for describing people? Lead students to complete the sentences with the correct words from the box. Cheerful hard-working patient smart (1)Tom is very _____________. He can always answer the teacher’s questions. (2)Jim and David are__________. They are always happy. (3)These are ____________students. They study hard. (4)She is a ____________mum. She takes time to help her child. Step 3 Reading 1. Before you read Ask students to look at the pictures and the titles of the three articles on page 3. Go through the text quickly to find specific information.Then circle the correct answers to complete the sentences below. She was always cheerful and patient. She cooked very well and I will never forget the taste and the smell of her dishes. Grandma took care of my family. She died two years ago, and we miss her very much. Step5 Consolidation Encourage students to describe a person they like(a family member. a good friend or a teacher )in class. Tips:1. Who is this person? What does he/she look like? 2. What is he/she like? 3. Why do you like him/her? Step6 Summary Lead students to sum up how to describe a person they like. Step7 Homework 1.Write and recite some useful and key words&phrases in English-notebooks:cheerful,encourage, forget, hard-working,miss,patient,probably,remain,smart,successful,support;give up,(be) strict about,take care of。 2. Introduce and describe some people’s appearance、Character and Feeling you know or you like .you can use some words or phrases in this unit.
