I knew he meant the North Star. Soon we found the right direction. We hurried back finding the horses . And the river was in sight again. The family was worried and about to call the police. At the sight of us, they were relieved and hugged us tightly. There was nothing more memorable than this rabbit hunting in my life!

Seeing the coat in the bag, he looked very astonished and then called his mother to go out. After hearing them say “Thanks” to Santa Claus, I felt very proud of what I had done. At that time I decided to be Santa’s helper forever. It was on that night that I realized the truth that he who has no Christmas in his heart will never find Christmas under a tree.

As the cashier put the DVD into a plastic bag, I walked over to the younger woman. “Is that your mom?” I asked, halfway expecting her to tell me it was none of my business. But she rolled her eyes and said, “Yeah.” I smiled to show her I wasn’t criticizing. “Cherish her,” I said. And then I answered her curious expression by saying, “When she’s gone, it’s the little moments like this that’ll come back to you.” It was true. I missed my mother still and remembered the moments when I was so impatient as to make her life miserable.
The elderly woman moved with her deliberate slowness back to her daughter. Together they made their way toward the exit of the video store. They stood there for a moment, side by side, waiting for the rushing holiday current and for their place in it. Then the daughter glanced over and momentarily regarded her mother. And slowly, almost reluctantly, she placed her arm with apparently unaccustomed affection around her mother’s shoulders and gently guided her back into the deluge.

The instant Neha saw the shoes, her face lit up. So thrilled was she that she threw herself at Jatin. “Thank you! Jatin.” Tears of joy welled up in their eyes as the brother and the sister hugged tightly together.
