Unit 4 Don’t eat in class

教学目标:
一、知识目标:1.单词和短语 rule, arrive, be on time, hallway, hall, dining, listen (to), fight, sorry, outside, wear, arrive late for class, listen to music, in the hallways, eat outside
2.祈使句的用法以及对它的应答。
二、能力目标:
能够使用目标语言口头或书面描述规则,
能用英语表达一些标志的含义,
能谈论对某些规章制度的看法。
三、情感目标:
学习规章制度,规范自己的行为。
教学过程
Step 1: Learning aims
1.New words:
rule, arrive, on time, hallway, dining hall, listen to , fight, sorry, outside, wear, important, bring, have to, uniform , quiet
2.Important sentences:
Don’t eat in class.
Don’t arrive late for class.
Don’t fight.
Step2: Presentation
Ask the students about their rules, and list the rules on the board.
Ask them which rules are they breaking, and why they should obey the rules.
Grammar: Imperative Sentences
Let the students see Page 119 and learn the grammar : Imperative Sentences.
Practice:
Translate the sentences:
Step3. 1a:
Read the rules aloud and make sure to understand them.
Explain: arrive late for class, on time, in the hallways, listen to the music,
Step4: Listen to 1b and number after the names.
Check the answers: Peter 2 Amy 3 Mike 4
Step5: Pairwork:
1.Make dialogues in pairs according to 1c :
A:What are your school rules?
B: Well, we can’t arrive late for class. We must be on time.
2.Ask some pairs to act out their dialogues.
Step6: Listening 2a
Listen to 2a and check the activities Alan and Cindy talk about.

Step7:Listening:
Listen again, circle can or can’t.

Step8: Pairwork.
Make dialogues according to 2c like this:
A: Can we listen to music in class ?
B: We can’t listen to music in class ,but we can listen to it outside..
