Teaching procedures
Step 1 Greeting
T : Do you like animals ?
T : Do you keep pets ?
T : What pet do you like to keep ?
Step 2 Learn the new comic strip and answer some questions
1) If Hobo eats Eddie ’s food ,what will happen ?
2) If Hobo eats food , what will happen ?
3) If Eddie doesn’t eat food , what will happen ?
4) If Eddie dies , what will happen ?
Step 3 Language points :
1. Your food looks delicious!
1) 本句是主谓表结构,主语是 you food, 谓语是联系动词look “好象” 、“似乎”。形容词delicious 意为“美味”,在句中充当表语。
That dog looks dangerous 。
She is now sixty ,but looks about fifty 。
类似的联系动词还有sound 听起来,taste 尝起来,feel 摸起来,smell 闻起来,后跟形容词用。
The story sounds funny !
The milk tastes sour !
The silk feels soft !
2) look 还可以作为行为动词,表示“看”、“注视”, look at sb / sth

3) 联系复习look 的常用词组
look after 照顾 We must look after (our ) well .
look up 查找 (在参考书中寻找到) He looked it up in the dictionary .

2. Can I have some ?
句中“can”是情态动词,用来征求对方许可,想要得到对方肯定回答,用some,而不用any。
3. If you eat my food , I won’t talk to you .
“if ”引导的条件状语从句“如果-------的话”可放在主句前,也可放在主句后,如表示将要发生的事,if 从句用一般现在时,主句用将来时。
If it (not rain ) tomorrow , we will go to see a film.
If you (ask) him , he (help) you .
Step 4 Put up the picture with some animals on it ,take students to learn the names of the animal we learned before.
