A. Passage understanding
Task 1: Listen to the text paragraph by paragraph and choose the most suitable heading from A-I for each paragraph.
Task 2: Group work: To get the specific ideas of the whole text, have every group to design one or two questions about different paragraphs.
B. Vocabulary Revision:
Task 3: Para. 1-2: Listen to the tape recording and ill in blanks by using word-formation
Task 4: Para. 3: Fill in the blanks with the words from the text. The first letter of the word has been given.
Task 5: Para. 4-6: Fill in the blank in each sentence with the correct form of the words or phrases from the box.
C. Summary Close
Task 6: Read the text and then fill in the form by using the words and phrases in the text.
3. Post-reading
Task 7: Role-play: interviewer & family members, choose the suitable color for different rooms, and tell the reasons.
4. Assignment: Every group will design a “school logo” using different colors as their assignments. You should explain why the different colors are used and what they symbolize.
5. Conclusion: Color is a powerful tool.

建议
1. 在整堂课的教学中，可以清晰的看出教师巧妙的引导学生进入学习语言的情景，也可以看到学生积极主动的参与其中得到的知识，由于这些教学设计与学生日常生活紧密联系。所以整个课堂活动体现了形象、生动符合实际的教学效果，有效地激发了学生的学习兴趣，保持了学生旺盛的学习热情，使他们在欢快的气氛中巩固知识，学习和掌握新知识。
2. 第一、二段的学习是通过听力填空完成的，当学生听完后，又无一例外的让学生根据材料回答问题，尽管整个过程所占课堂的时间不是很多，但重视对学生进行听力教学无疑是正确的，也是值得我们在今后的教学中学习的。

听课反思及困惑
她的成功，既来自于她对生活资源的巧妙利用，更多的应归功于她的充满个性的课堂教学和教材处理。 
其实我们生活中处处充满可以利用的资源，关键是我们如何用心、用脑、用手去做。我国基础教育课程改革的趋势之一是加强课程与学生生活和现实社会的联系。本次课程改革的内容强调联系生活、社会、学生实际，在方法上强调探索、实践、活动，实现课程生活化、社会化和实用化，但这并不是让课程脱离学术轨道，而是让课程和学生生活和现实社会更有效地融合起来，给已有充分发展的学术课程增添时代的源泉和生活的活力。我们有理由相信：怎样有效的把课堂与生活紧密联系在一起，化课堂为生活，融生活于课堂，是一个值得我们老师好好利用却时时困扰我们的话题。只要我们做有心人，充分挖掘生活中的可利用资源。相信孩子们在学习中会获得乐趣，在游戏中获得知识，在课堂中除了学到语言，更多的是学会用语言的方法。真正使英语贴近生活，运用于生活，服务于生活。
