Step 1 Analysis of the student.
After learning for a day, the Ss came back to thoughts. Now, the Ss have a new school year, so many Ss have new plans about their learning. And they have a new subject.
Step 2 Lead in.
1. Greet the students in English and make sure they can response correctly.
Do the duty report: a student on duty can say whatever he/she likes to say.
2.Ask some Ss talk about the following questions:
What dose the word “distance” mean?
Do you know how to say these words in Chinese?
What days will they visit in Xi’an?
How many days will they stay in Dunhuang?
How many days is their trip?
Step 3. New lesson.
No. 1 Prepare lessons before class.
Teach the new words and phrases. Make sure the Ss can read it correctly.
No. 2 Text: Give them some time to read the text themselves. Then let them act out the dialogue in groups. Correct their pronunciation when necessary. At last, the teacher explain the text in Chinese, make sure the Ss can understand the meaning of text.
No. 3 Ask the Ss finish the following questions:
1. How long is the Silk Road?
2. What will they learn about on this trip?
3. What does Li Ming send to Jenny?
4. How many days will they stay in China?
