Learn some new words and phrases: jump, spend, baseball, be good at, weekend, part, take part in, be good for, all over, heart, lung, fit , keep fit, supper,exercise, world, the day after tomorrow, healthy, relax 2.Go on learning the future tense with be going to + do: (1)There is going to be a school sports meet next weekend. There is going to be … IV .Teaching aids Tape recorder multi-media V. Teaching procedures Step 1 Revision 1.Revise jobs in Section B 2.Revise their favorite sports ,player and dream jobs. What’s your favorite sport ? Who is your favorite player? What are you going to do when you grow up ? Step 2 Presentation 1.To present the new sports in 1a T:What kind sport is she doing ? Ss(Help) She is doing the high jump . learn the new sports : the long jump,play baseball ,go mountain climbing, do exercise,go cycling in the same way 2.To present 1a by asking and answering (1)Do you like doing exercise? (2)How often do you do exercise? (3)How long do you spend doing exercise? (4)which sport are you good at ? (5)Do you know which sport is Ann good at ? OK,Let’s come to 1a 3.Read and understand .Look at the picture in 1b and get the students to guess which sport Ann likes very much ,then check the answer. Step 3 Consolidation 1.Skim 1a and find out the topic sentences 2. Skan 1a and answer the flowing questions. 1)How often does Ann go cycling? 2)How long does Ann spend exercising? 3)What sports is Ann going to take part in ? 3. Read 1a again and write the key phrases under each picture in 1b 4.Listen to 1a and complete the timetable Name Activity Time Ann 5.Play the tape and get the students to read the passage after recording. 6.Finish 1C with the key words in 1a .
