Lesson 5：Babysitting on a Spring Day一、教材分析本课所在的单元是本册书的第一单元，本单元主要以“spring”为主线设计话题及教学内容，讨论weather， spring and outdoor activities等话题。本课创设Danny照顾Debbie的情景，展开教学活动，包含户外活动的语言表达、祈使句、向别人提出建议的句型，以实现交际功能。二、学情分析 八年级的学生已具备一定的词汇量，具备在特定情景下有效组织语言来进行表达的能力。三、教学目标1.帮助学生掌握并灵活运用本课的重点词汇、 短语、 句型2.帮助学生掌握语言技能知识，熟练使用祈使句及提意见等交际用语，正确表达与本课相关的话题内容。3让学生感受到勇敢地开口与同学交流合作是一件快乐的事情。四教学重点 难点 1.词汇 ：babysit, bar, instead, push, soccer, shall, rabbit 2.短语 ：thank.for, hold on, turn around, monkey bar, come down, give sb. a push, look like, fall off, get off 3.句型 ：1）Thank you for doing. 2) Its time to stop swinging.3) Push me.五、教学方法 创设情境、小组演练。六、教学媒体 多媒体七、教学过程Step1 Class beginning： Show some pictures of lovely babies. Let students talk about what they are doing.通过谈论照顾婴儿的一些具体情境及具体事情，为本课涉及到的一些动词词组做好铺垫，并且打开学生思路，启发学生学习兴趣和热情，鼓励学生动脑，主动开口表达。Step 2 Listening: Listen to the tape and answer questions. 导入本课 Babysitting on a Spring Day What is Danny doing? Who is Debbie? Is it Dannys second time babysitting? Why does Danny fall asleep on the grass?本环节设置在学生已进行了部分词汇及句型操练之后，由说转向听，并由此正式导入本课的教学内容，让学生对本课的教学内容及情景有个基本了解，并通过听后回答问题，以此来判断学生的理解情况。回答问题环节，采取抽图片选问题的方式，可能有问题也可能没有问题，以两组比赛计分模式提高学生的参与性和学习热情，提高整个课堂的活跃性。Step 3 Words learning: 因为毕竟是新授课，并且在本单元属于新的话题，与前几课关于春天的话题并不完全贴近，又需要一些表达动作及指示动作的词汇和词组，所以有必要设置词汇环节，以加深学生对课文内容的理解并更好地加以应用。babysit bar monkey bar instead push give sb. a push swing hold hold onplayground （组合合成词：给出outdoor,blackboard等的分解部分，制成卡片，分发两列，一列学生先读单词，若另一列学生手里的卡片能与之相组合则起立读出单词，全体同学读出合成词，老师板书，最后齐读）最后一个组合合成词的环节以活动形式展开，主要目的是掌握合成词的同时活跃课堂气氛，尽可能让词汇学习不枯燥而有趣味。Step 4 Reading（Grop work）: 学生分角色朗读，先练习再表演，然后回答问题。 Have you ever been a babysitter? Step 5 完成课本练习Part2,3： Check the answers and read the passage.Step 6 短文填空（过去时: 知识要点再现）讨论Danny是不是一个合格的babysitter,由此引出大家对如何做好一个babysitter的探讨。Step 7 看短片（a babysitter in America） 发放与短片配套的阅读材料，帮助学生获取更多的有关此话题的相关词汇及语言材料，完成阅读问题，加深理解，并争取应用到写作环节中去。Reading: My name is Iman.
