Lesson 16 Happy or Sad
【教学目标】
1.能够掌握课标要求的“四会”词汇:hurt,enough,laugh。
2.让学生了解更多表示情感的词语。
3.让学生了解一些表示情感的句子。
【教学重难点】
1.掌握一些与情感相关的词汇:happy,sad,high,down。
2.激发学生兴趣,让学生学会介绍自己高兴或
悲伤的事情。
3.掌握以下重点句子:
①How do you feel today?
②What’s wrong?
③My mum wants me to eat just one donut a day.
④One donut a day is enough.

一、创设情境,切入主题
Step 1:Lead-in
Lead-in by discussing the following question:
Why do you feel happy or sad?
Discuss in groups for three minutes.Then let some students present their answers in front of the class.
二、展开过程,探究新知
Step 2:Listening
Listen to the tape and know about the main points of the dialogues.At the same time,fill in the blanks with the words you hear:
1.Jenny feels________.
2.Danny’s mother wants him to eat________a day.
Finish the task in class orally.
Step 3:Reading
Read the lesson and answer the following questions:
1.How does Danny feel?
2.Who is right,Danny or his mother?
Finish the task in class orally.
Step 4:Practice
Ask the students to make up a dialogue to introduce feelings and tell the reasons.
Work in groups to finish the task.Practice for a while,and then let some groups present their dialogues in front of the class.
When the students are preparing,the teacher can walk around the classroom to solve the problems that the students probably have.
Step 5:Come to“Let’s Do It!”
Read the lesson again,and ask the students to finish Exercise 1.Listen to the tape and finish Exercise 2 together.
Ask the students to finish Exercise 3 by themselves.
三、布置作业
Finish Exercises 4—5 in“Let’s Do It!”.
