Lesson 17 Seeing a Doctor
【教学目标】
1.能掌握课标要求的“四会”词汇:stomachache,better,matter,headache,medicine,stay,rest。
2.让学生了解一些有关病情介绍的口语。
【教学重难点】
1.掌握一些与病情介绍有关的词汇:hurt,bad,sick,stomachache,headache,cold。
2.激发学生兴趣,让学生了解更多关于病情介
绍的口语。
3.掌握以下重点句子:
①Let’s go and see a doctor.
②You’d better go and see a doctor,Wang Mei.
③What’s the matter?
④Take this medicine.

一、创设情境,切入主题
Step 1:Lead-in
Show the following pictures to the students.Let them guess:
1.What’s the matter with the man in Picture 1?
2.How does the little child feel in Picture 2?What is the doctor doing?
Let the students answer the questions in class.
二、展开过程,探究新知
Step 2:Listening
Listen to the tape and fill in the blanks with the correct words you hear:
1.Jim’s________hurts.
2.Danny has a________and goes to see a doctor.
Finish the task in class orally.
Step 3:Reading
Read the dialogues and decide the following statements are true or false:
1.Wang Mei has a headache.
2.The doctor says Danny has a cold.
Finish the task in class orally.
Step 4:Practice
Work in groups and practice the dialogues.Then act out the dialogues in front of the class.When they act,they can use their own words.
Read the lesson again and find more questions about this lesson.

Step 5:Activities
Suppose you want to see a doctor.But you don’t know what to do.How can you do?Ask your classmates for advice.
Finish the task in groups.After a few minutes,let some students act out their dialogues in front of the class.

Listen to the tape and finish Exercise 1 together.Fill in the blanks of Exercise 2.
Ask the students to finish Exercise 3 by themselves.
