Do you like bananas Analysis of the Teaching Material 【Curriculum requirements】 Some words about food The expression of one’s likes and dislikes Analysis of the Teaching Material: The knowledge of this unit is the extension of last unit. The main function of the language is talking about the food and likes or dislikes of a certain people. The teaching main point is the words about food, and the simple sentence “Do you like bananas? Yes, I do. No, I don’t. Strengthen the words and sentences, and lay the foundation of following lessons. Teaching Aims and Demands Knowledge Objects Words: banana tomato hamburger ice-cream salad strawberry pear milk bread Sentences: do you like bananas? Yes, I do. No, I don’t. Ability Objects Talk one’s likes and dislikes To offer the proper food to a certain people in a party Moral Objects Talk about the food, inspire the students to speak more. foster the Interests of studying English Teaching Key Points And Teaching Difficult Points Teaching Key Points The words about the food ,pay attention to the single and plural form of the words Teaching Difficult Points The sentences about one’s likes and dislikes Do you like bananas? Yes, I do. No, I don’t. Teaching aid Pictures radio (the PPT will be better) Design of period Period 1 Teaching Procedures Teacher-student Interaction Revise Step I Revision review the sentences of unit 5; Do you have a soccer ball? Yes, I do. No, I don’t. Step Ⅱ 1a Lead-in 1.Show students some pictures about each food, write the word on the blackboard. banana tomato hamburger ice-cream salad strawberry pear milk bread 2.Read these words in different forms. 3.Do some exercises about the words, finish 1a of sectionA. (Pay attention to the single and plural form of the words) Step Ⅲ lb Show students each picture again, and ask: What is this? It is a banana. Do you like bananas? Yes, I do. No, I don’t. What are they? They are pears. Do you like pears? Yes, I do. No ,I don’t. Practice again and again , make students know how to answer the questions Step Ⅳ 1c 1. Listening. Let the students read the dialogue first, and then number the conversations. 2. Read the dialogue, and make the students practice the dialogue with the pictures. Step Ⅴ Summary Summarize the words of the food, and the sentences of expressing one’s likes and dislikes Show the pictures of the food, and inspire students speak out the word. Encourage students observe the single and plural form of the words, and learn to ask by them selves. Allow students to go around the classroom and get to know more about their classmate.
