Step 1 Review
1. Review how to describe someone’s look, free talk.
2. Review the words
Show the phonetic symbols of the words, let the students read out all the phonetic symbols, ask some students to write the words out. Check, then whole class read together.
Step 2 Presentation
1. Listen to the music, lead the words about colors.
2. Show some pictures to present the words.
3. Ask and answer to lead the sentence: What color is it? And its answer.
4. Lead students to sum up the sentences about“ What color …? ”.
5. Practice
6. Listen to the tape, finish 3, then check the answers
7. Show two pictures to lead the students to describe looks by using the words about colors.
Step 3 Consolidation
1. Listen to 1a, and answer the following questions:
a). Who is that boy?
b). Where is he from?
c). Are they good friends?
2. Whole class read after the tape, then ask some students to translate it into Chinese. Find the key points:
a). look the same
b). That’s right.
3. Practice the conversation
Step 4 Practice
1. Complete the table in 1b, check the answers.
2. Ask the students to describe the three boys according to 1b.
