Unit 8 I'll help clean up the city parks 【教学目标】 知识目标: 1. 掌握以下词汇:website 2. 掌握并会运用下列短语和句型。 短语:give away , take after , come up with , give out , hand out 句型:I’m going to give out your test paper. My friend Dave came up with a great idea! I give away some clothes to charity. Jim takes after his father. They are both clever and a bit quiet. 能力目标 1. Train the students to use the phrasal verbs well. 2. Train the students’ reading skill. 3. Train the students’ writing skill. 情感目标 What do you want to be in the future? Try to come up with an idea to get much volunteer experience. It will be good for both you and the others. 【重点难点】 重点: 1.掌握本单元重点单词及短语:give away ,take after ,come up with ,give out ,hand out 2.会运用重点句型:I’d love to…./ I’d like to ……./ I could do……. 3.写一篇关于Sally的文章。 难点: 1. Make up sentences with give away ,take after ,come up with ,give out ,hand out 2. Write an article about Sally. 【教学过程】 I. 复习热身 教师活动:让生继续做值日生报告,报告的内容必须紧扣本单元话题(Offering help )。学生对值日生的报告进行讨论,并对报告者提出的问题积极发表自己的意见,畅所欲言。 学生活动:听写 ,单词、短语和重点句子:hunger , homeless , clean-up , sign , advertisement , set, establish , major , coach , fix , repair , similar, call-in , strategy 1) I’d like to work outside. 2) You could help clean up the city parks. 3) We need to come up with a plan. 4) We can’t put off making a plan. 5) He looks sad. Let’ cheer him up. 6) We are going to set up a food bank to help hungry people. (写完后小组内互改,组长报告单词检查情况,教师抽查。) II.Task2 Words and expressions 1) 学生复习60—65页的生词( hunger , homeless , clean-up , sign , advertisement , set, establish , major , coach , fix , repair , similar, call-in , strategy ),做到会读、会写,小组成员 相互检查,组长统计单词过关率并向老师报告。 2) 学生通读整个单元(回扣课本),让每个小组总结出本单元的重点短语和句式结构,每个小组推荐一名同学向全班报告,教师帮助归纳、总结并板书。引导他们进行横向、纵向整合。然后小组合作探究,利用重点短语造句,小组之间展开竞赛,看看哪个小组造句多、快、好。 重点短语give away , take after , come up with , give out , hand out ,cheer up write down, put up ,call up, set up, not only…but also ,be similar to, work out ,ask for 重点句型: I’ll help clean up the city parks. I’d like to help homeless people. You could help give out food at the food bank. We need to come up with a plan We can’t put off making a plan. Not only do I feel good about helping other people, but I get to spend time doing what I love doing. I fix up bikes and give them away. III. Task3 Grammar 教师活动:点出知识点,让学生小组之间讨论并总结语法规律。 学生活动:认真听课,学习老师讲解的语法知识点,并整理笔记。 短语动词: ①动词+介词 ask for, agree with, belong to, begin with, look at, laugh at, look after, look for, remind of 注意:这类短语动词后面的宾语无论是名词还是动词,都放在介词之后。 eg: The man is blind .Don’t laugh at him. ②常见“动+副”短语: put on (穿上,戴上) put off (推迟,拖延) put up(挂起) put away(把…放好) clean up(打扫) cheer up (使振奋) give away(赠送) give up (放弃) give out (分发) turn on (打开) turn off (关上) turn up (调大) turn down(调低)write down (记下) fix up (修理) hand out (分发) work out(解决) take out(取出) take off (脱下)set up(建立) call up(给某人打电话) help sb out(帮助某人解决困难)try on(试穿) 注意:这类短语动词后面的宾语是名词,名词可以放在副词之前,也可以放在副词之后;代词作宾语时,对于”动词+副词” 的短语,代词放在动副之间. put up signs ask for singing jobs ③动词+名词+介词take part in, pay attention to, take care of ,make friends of, make use of 注意:这类短语动词中,宾语都放在介词之后。 ④动词+副词+介词 come up with ,run out of ,get along with ,do well in, look forward to(期望) ⑤动词+形容词+介词 be angry with, be busy with, be different from, be interested in, be good at, be famous for 巩固练习(用方框中所给短语的适当形式填空) set up, put off, give out, help…with, write down, come up with, clean up, cheer…up ① Never ____________ till tomorrow what can be done today. ② They ___________ a football club last year. ③ You should ______________ the hall after the meeting. ④ They give the little girl a doll to ____________ her __________. ⑤ Could you please __________ these books to the students? ⑥ The plan that they ______________ at the meeting was very good. ⑦ My English is very poor. As a volunteer, she sings at a local hospital to cheer up sick people .She also sings at school. so she ran out of money for singing lessons. She came up with ideas for making money. She puts up signs for singing jobs. She also called up parents offering singing lessons for children. Now she will be able t continue her lessons. I hope he will be able to become a professional singer. VI. 总结反馈 1. 强调所学的短语,结合例句加以巩固。 2. 结合前面所学,帮助学生用英语讲述Jimmy 的故事。 VII. 作业布置 1. 笔头造句本节的短语. 2. 预习(Reading)中的生词和课文,准备小组听写。 【教后反思】 动词短语的记忆是本单元的重点,所以多给学生留出读、写、记忆的时间,让学生记住,特别是同义英语短语的记忆和理解。
