(after the video) T: Class, do you enjoy this video? Do you know the name of this movie? It is about a lion how to become a king. And there are so many animals in the movie. Class, do you like animals? Let’s have a discussion 1. Discuss: Do you like animals? What animals do you know? 2. Learn the new words Do you know these animals? (Show students pictures of the animals and learn the new words.) 1. 1a, match the words with the animals in the picture. 2. 1b, listen and check the animals in 1a you hear. 1. Discuss: What animals do you want to see? Why do you want to see them? 2. Show pictures of animals one by one, and ask: Do you want to see…? Why? (Ask students to recall the description words they have learned. Then present the description words following the pictures and lead students to learn the new words.) 3. Present the drills in 1c. Then show pictures of animals and ask students to make conversations. 1. 2a. listen and write the animals you hear. And draw a line to the description words. 2. 2b. listen again and complete the conversation. 3. Ask students to make their own conversations as 2b, using other animals they like. Make a survey and make a report. Ask students in their group their favorite animals and reasons. Then each group have one student to give a report, like: Nancy’s favorite animals are…, because they’re… Enjoy the video, then have a discussion to the teacher’s questions and show their answers. Discuss the questions and show answers. Then learn the new words of animals according to the pictures. Match the words in 1a. then listen and check the animals in 1b. Discuss the questions and try to recall the description words they have learned. Then learn the new description words according to the pictures. Make conversations in pairs, then have acts. Make conversations like 2b with partner. Then several pairs present their conversations. Make surveys in groups and then each group gives report. Homework 1. Find out at least eight animals you like. 2. Choose your favorite animal and tell us your reason.
