一、教材分析
本节课是新目标英语七年级（上）Unite 4 Where is my backpack?
的第一课时。整个单元的教学内容充分体现了‘在用中学’的现代英语教学理念。通过日常生活中的对话形式学习介词，让学生学会在日常交流中能自然的运用方位介词。作为本单元的第一课时，本节课的重点是学会单词 table\chair\dresser\drawer\plant\sofa和描述事物的位置关系，并能运用 “W here is …It’s….和Where are…They are.”句型，为整个单元的学习打下良好的基础。
二、学生分析
初一的学生刚刚接触英语不久，而且他们活泼好动，对英语学习有较强的求知欲和兴趣。加之本课的内容也是贴近生活的日常会话，学生学起来比较感兴趣。
三、教学目标
1、知识目标：学习和掌握新单词及方位介词on\in\under和句型“Where is…/It’s和where are…/they are…”的用法。
2、能力目标：通过提问和回答，激发学生学习的积极性和主动性；
四、教学重难点
1、新单词的运用
2、方位的表达
五、教法学法
遵循学生的认知规律，从单词→句子→情景对话→实际应用，采取循序渐进的原则，由浅入深，由易到难。情景兴趣教学。多以问答形式出现。
 如何使用英语，如何在理解的基础上习得语言。在用中学，学中用。培养学生交际能力。

一、 revision
复习以前学过的对话引入新内容
A: What’s this in English?
B: It’s a pen/pencil/book/eraser/pencilcase…
A: How do you spell it?

二 lead in
1、show pictures and lead in: sofa\dresser\bed\drawer\plant\table\chair
2、show two groups of pictues，and lead in: on the bed \on the table, and ask students to guess the meaning of “ on” then teach “on”.
3、show a pictue of “ bed” and a“ backpack”and lead in the new sentence pattern：what’s this?It’s a bed. And what’s this ? It’s a backpack. Where is the backpack? It’s on the bed.
4、teach the new sentence pattern，and students practise
5、show another two groups of pictures，and students make similar dialogues
