课程标准四级目标要求八年级学生能听懂接近自然语速、熟悉话题的简单语段;识别主题,获取主要信息;能引出话题并进行交谈,并能在口语活动中使用正确的语音语调。
2. 教材分析
本单元以Could you please clean your room?为话题,围绕“Chores”开展教学活动,学习如何用情态动词could 礼貌地提出请求,如何礼貌地请求允许自己做某事,并做出得体的回答;要求学生通过自我评估和个性化的学习,进一步熟悉有关日常生活、社交礼仪等方面的话题,在实际生活中较熟练地运用英语进行沟通。
Section A 主要学习与家庭活动及家务琐事相关的词汇及表达法,如何用情态动词could 礼貌地提出请求,如何礼貌地请求允许自己做某事,并做出得体的回答;Section B是对本单元主题的发展和纵深讨论,侧重孩子和家长在家庭事务方面的不同分工及关系。
3. 学情分析
本单元主题将焦点聚集在家庭生活上,谈论家务琐事及家庭互助。家庭生活及家务劳动是社会家庭和学生生活中的重要方面,对学生生活习惯的养成、社会行为习惯及家庭责任感的建立起着重要的作用。由于平时的生活经验,学生对本单元内容应该是比较熟悉,也是比较感兴趣的,有了这样的生活基础,对本单元内容的学习应该是没有很难理解的地方,主要是运用,沟通交流能力。
目标
1通过听力练习,能准确提取听力材料中使用情态动词could委婉地请求他人做某事以及请求许可做某事的句式和答语,能迅速准确提取材料中与家庭活动及家务琐事相关的词汇及表达法。
2通过角色扮演,能结合自身实际编写对话并能以正确的语音语调运用情态动词could委婉地请求他人做某事,委婉地请求许可做某事。

同桌合作编写对话并以角色扮演的形式练习有关对话(检测学生是否能够准确应用情态动词Could礼貌地提出请求,礼貌地请求允许自己做某事,并做出得体的回答;)

完成单项填空练习。(检测是否掌握课文中的重点短语及Could的用法)
教学过程
Step 1 Lead-in (3 minutes)
Task 1 Describe the phrases written on the blackboard and ask your partner what’s the meaning .
Step 2 Presentation (7 minutes)
Task 2 Talk about the picture on P17 with the words related to some chores.
Task 3 Ask some student “ Do you do these chores at home?” and then discuss them with your partner.
Step 3 Listening and Speaking (10 minutes)
Task 4 Listen to the tape twice and find the answers.
Task 5 Talk about the picture again in pairs to check the answers to listening.
Assessment 1 Check how many students can understand the listening material fully.
Task 6 Listen and complete the chart .
Task 7 Observe the phrases given in the PPT, pay attention to the new words and read them together.
Assessment 2 Check how many students can remember the new phrases.
Step 4 Listening and Oral Practices (15 minutes)
Task 8 Listen 2a and choose the right answers.
Task 9 Make conversations with these new phrases.
Assessment 3 Check how many students can use the new words to make a conversation.
Step 5 Summary and feedback (5 minutes)
Task 10 Summarize what you have learnt in this class.
