教学步骤
Step 1 导入
１． 教师通过询问学生的周末情况来引出所要学习的内容。教师问：What do you usually do at weekends? Do you like watching TV? What TV programmes do you like watching?
２． 教师把学生所提到的电视节目写在黑板上。
Step 2 呈现和活动
１． 教师对学生说：I like watching TV as well. And I like many TV programmes. Do you want to know what they are? 教师放映幻灯片，把不同的电视节目通过图片展示给学生，要求学生说出相应名称。
２． 将学生分成小组，组内就每个学生各自喜欢的电视节目进行询问和讨论，鼓励学生运用以下句型：What’s your favourite TV programme?
Which TV programme do you like best?
I like … because…
My favourite TV programme is … because …
I don’t like/dislike … because …
３．请几名学生介绍他们组成员有关电视节目的喜好。
Step 3 呈现和练习
１．呈现一张Eddie和Hobo的图片，让学生猜测它们在干什么并说出理由，从而引出remote control。接着教师可以问：What’s the remote control used for? 学生可能会说：It’s used to control the TV set.教师可以补充：It is used to control the TV set or change TV channels from a distance.
２．教师：Do you want to know more about TV?教师通过展示几张图片教授新的单词和表达。教师可以说：Who are they? They are news announcers. Now they are broadcasting news in the studio.
３．鼓励学生独立完成课本第63页A部分的练习。全班核对答案。
４．教师：How many hours do you spend watching TV every day? We call the people who spend too much time watching TV “couch potato”. Do you think Eddie is a couch potato? Let’s see what Eddie’s lifestyle is like.
５．播放录音之前，让学生思考以下问题：Will Eddie go shopping with Hobo? What’s Eddie’s plan for today?让学生带着问题听录音。
６．跟着录音朗读对话。
７．学生两人一组分角色朗读，请几对学生表演。
８．鼓励学生用自己的话复述该对话。
Step 4 家庭作业
１． 记忆相关词汇、词组和句型。
２． 背诵漫画部分的对话。
