Lesson 13 How is school going ? 教 学 目 标 1. Grasp the words and phrases: life, term, start, finish, twice, win, social, myself, sport meet, twice a week \ year, long \ high jump, be good at, social studies, by oneself 2. Grasp key structures : How is ……going? 3. Get students to know how to describe their school life correctly. 重点 难点 1.Remember the key words and phrases and use them freely. 2.Understand and use : How is ……going? 准备 Textbook, notebook, recorder, ppt. 导 学 过 程 The teacher's instructions Students’ activity Step I Lead-in:( ) Show the students two pictures about their beautiful school and some students’ school life. Describe the pictures in English. Step II Learning aims:( ) The teacher write the learning aims on the blackboard and make students know what they will learn in class. The students must read the learning aims together and make sure to know what to study in this lesson. Step III New language points Presentation ( ) Teach and learn new words Try to read the words and pay more attention to the pronunciation. Read the dialogue and Try to make main sentences from the dialogue with new words and some pictures on ppt. Practice main sentences with teacher and partner as much as possible. Practice of four skills ( ) 1. Listening 1)Play the audiotape for Lesson 13,Play it once and ask the students just to listen and repeat. 2)Play the audiotape a second time and ask the students to do Let’s do it Ex. 2. Read and answer 3.Read and role play 4. learn to use the main language points. 5.Pair Work ( ask and answer) 1. Listen and do “Let’s do it . ,Pay more attention to reading after the tape. 2. Read the text twice and answer five questions. 3.Read the dialogue in roles. And finish let’s do it part3 4.Students should find the main sentences that they can’t understand 5.Work in small groups. And finish part4 to make up a dialogue following the example in the student book. Expansion of knowledge ( ) Make a time table in English. Read loudly ,underline the words, phrases and sentences they don’t understand , and prepare to solve in the class or in groups. 4. Read the dialogue in roles. Then answer the questions of Let’s do it Part 2 5.Work in small groups. Say something about their own school life. 6.Work in pairs. Make up a dialogue about your favouriye subjects. A: What’s your favourite subject? Expansion of knowledge ( ) 1. There be 用法。 There be +名词 + 地点状语。(注意be 的用法)。 2.与 have 的区别 3. 频度副词的用法 Examples: There are 400 students in my class.
