We often use some adjectives to describe people or things. Can you use? Show Guide one 1.Look and say.(2') T says:Like “bigger/taller”.,we call comparative forms. Like “tallest”,we call superlative forms. .How to write comparative forms and superlative forms. Step3. Guide students to understand and write comparatives and superlatives. Show Guide Two 1.Learn to write comparative and superlative short adjectives (1).Read the following blank and finish the second line and the third line.(5') 形容词的比较级(Comparative forms)和最高级(Superlative forms) 构成方法 原级 比较级 最高级 单音节词和少数双音节词在词尾加-er或-est fast long tall cheap 以字母e结尾的形容词,加-r或-st nice safe late 重读闭音节词结尾只有一个辅音字母时,应先双写辅音字母,再加-er或-est big hot thin 以辅音字母+y结尾的双音节词,先改y为i,再加-er或-est easy happy heavy T says: We usually add -er to short adjectives to form comparatives and add -est to form superlatives. Please watch the following adjectives. beautiful/ humorous/interesting/important/difficult. Think: How to write their comparatives and superlatives. 2.Learn to write comparative and superlative long adjectives (1).Read the following blank and finish the second line and the third line.(3') 构成方法 原级 比较级 最高级 部分双音节词和多音节词在前面加more或most beautiful important dangerous frightened 3.Remember some comparative and superlative irregular adjectives. 不规则 变化 原级 比较级 最高级 good / well better best bad / badly worse worst many / much more most little less least far farther farthest further furthest old older / elder oldest / eldest Step4. Consolidate Practice: 1. Write comparatives and superlatives((5') Finish Part A on Page 12 . After finishing, check with each other.(5') Think: Can you use comparatives and superlatives to compare people or things? ※We use comparatives +than to compare two people or things. Like “bigger/taller”.We use the + superlatives to compare three or more people or thing. Like “tallest” 2.Finish Part B on Page 12. After finishing, check with each other.(6') Rule: We put than after comparatives. We put the before superlatives. 3.Finish the exercises in exercise book(10') 2. Use comparatives to make sentences.
