第一步:复习
教师从大家最向往的居住地入手,然后让学生们描述心目中的首都北京城。
T: I remember that most of us like to live in the countryside because there is fresher air, greener trees, clearer rivers, lovelier farm animals and less noise. We can enjoy nature there. But today we are going to learn something about a city. This city is very important to us. Which city is it? It’s our capital city Beijing.

We can buy a lot of beautiful clothes and eat many different kinds of nice food. And today we are going to learn something about a very important city to us. Which city is it? T: Yes, we can say Beijing is old and new. It’s old because it has a very long history.
It’s new because it has many new roads and new buildings.

Step 1 Review
Ask the students to describe the city of Beijing.
