③She encourages us to work hard，but she never punishes us.

一、创设情境，切入主题
Step 1　Lead－in
Show the pictures to the students.Let them guess：

1.What is the girl in the first picture going to be？
2.What does the man do？
Let the students answer the questions in class.
二、展开过程，探究新知
Step 2　Listening
Listen to the tape and fill in the blanks with the correct words you hear：
1.Li Ming and his classmates talk about their ambitions and________at school.
2.To know________is the main thing for them.
3.Ms.Liu is________with her students.
Finish the task in class in oral.
Step 3　Reading
Read the passage and decide if the following statements are true or false.
1.Some students want to be farmers.
2.Ms.Liu sometimes punishes her students.
3.Li Ming wants to be a basketball player.
Finish the task in class in oral.
Step 4　Practice
Work in groups.Practice the text.Then present it in front of the class.When the students act，they can use their own words.
Read the text again and find more questions about this text.

S3：What does Ms.Liu often encourage us to do？
Step 5　Activities
Suppose you want to write a short passage about your dream.You don’t know what to say.How can you do？Ask your classmates for advice.
Finish the task in groups.Then after a few minutes，let some students read their passage in front of the class.
Step 6　Come to “Let’s Do It！”
Read the passage and finish off Exercise 1.Listen to the tape and finish off Exercise 2.
Work in pairs，talk about what you are going to be when you grow up.
