Teaching and learning steps:
Step1: Learn to read the words on P37---41
1. Open the books at Page100. Students try to read the words in Unit7 using the phonetics by themselves,and mark the difficult words that they can’t pronounce correctly or clearly .
(设计意图:让学生学会试读单词是一种学习习惯的培养,首先学生自己根据音标自读单词,并标出试读时有困难的。)
2. Read the marked words in turn in small groups. One student read, the others listen and help to correct the wrong pronunciation. The teacher should give them a hand if necessary.
(设计意图:在小组内互读交流发言,相互纠正发音,以小组为单位解决遇到的困难。培养他们合作学习及解决问题的能力。)
3. Several students read the words aloud in turn in class and the others correct their wrong pronunciations.
4. Read after the tape.
5. Read the words aloud by themselves, and the teacher walks around to see if they need some help.
(设计意图:采取分组学习的方法。兵教兵的方式,充分发挥这一部分学生的积极性来带动全体学生的学习英语的积极性。用这种先自学再合作交流的方式才能促使学生大胆张嘴,大声朗读。学生学会识读单词是一种自学能力和习惯的培养,提高全体学生积极性。鼓励没过关的学生课前课后努力赶上。)

利用多种手段和多种形式呈现给学,
来吸引学生的兴趣,降低难度扩大学生的词汇量。
例如:通过图画和简单的句子记忆,学生易于接受,印象深刻;用一词多义,合成,派生等等方法能使学生举一反三,极大的扩充词汇量;通过重点短语对比和汉意的方式全面的加深对词汇的理解。)
Step 3 Consolidation of words
Ask the students to read the words and phrases and their Chinese. Cover the English words and phrases , look at the Chinese and say the English for them. Write down the words they haven’t grasped.
(设计意图:此环节为巩固单词。不达标学生,需要利用自习课或课余的时间让小组长跟踪检查,尽量能让 学生顺利过关,教师应及时督促、让小组长反馈检查的结果,做好跟踪检查。)
Step 4 Read the story and translate into Chinese:
1. Ask the students to read the passage silently, and underline the new words and phrases
Come and buy your clothes at our great sale! Our clothes store is not big , and it is not small, either. It has many clothes. We sell all our clothes at very good prices. Can I help you? Please tell me.
Do you like sweaters? We have red and green sweaters for only fifteen dollars. Yellow sweaters are only twelve dollars! Do you need trousers? For boys, we have black trousers for only twenty-two dollars. And shorts are only sixteen dollars! For girls, we have skirts in purple for only twenty dollars. How much are our T-shirts? Only thirty dollars! And we have black shoes for only $28. Socks are only $2 for three pairs!Look, these scarves are for women. We have long scarves, and we have short scarves,too. They look very beautiful. They are only eleven dollars.
Come to Mr. Green’s Clothes Store and have a look. You will find what you like and take them..
2. Translate the story into Chinese in groups of three.
3. Read the story fluently by themselves.
(设计意图;利用本单元的生词编写一段广告,这为学生学习单词创设了有意义的语境;在语境中了解词汇的意义和词汇的表意功能,体现学生在语境中接触和理解真实语言,有助于学生有效记忆和使用词汇。
