Unit 4 Where’s my schoolbag?

重点句型:Where is my schoolbag? It is under the table .
Where are your books? They are on the chair.

1)学会运用where等询问物品的位置。
2)学会运用介词 in, on, under等谈论物品的位置,并能通过听,来辨认出这些介词。
3)掌握人称代词 they 的用法。

教学步骤
ⅠWarming-up and revision
1.Greetings.
Divide the class into Group A and B. Draw two fishes on the blackboard as their symbols, tell the students that each time they answer questions right, they can get one or more points for their group and draw one or more bubbles around their fish, at the end of the class, the group which gets more bubbles will be the winner today. Say, “One, two, three!” Get the whole class sit straight, thus announce the beginning of the competition.
Review the numbers and the plural forms of the nouns.
II. Presentation
Show a photo of Tommy and a school. T: Tommy can’t find his schoolbag. So where is his schoolbag? Can you help him? But first we should go to Tommy’s room.
On the screen show a picture of Tommy’s room.
T: What can you see in Tommy’s room?
III. New words
Learn the new words on the first page of Unit 4.
Word game: Show the pictures on the screen with no words. Get student to speak out their names.
Do 1a.
Meet Garfield and look at it then learn the prepositions.
IV. Conversations
Get the students to look at the balls on the screen. Learn the new sentences.
Where is the ball? It’s on the box.
Where is the ball? It’s under the box..
Where is the ball? It’s in the box.
Look at the cats and read the conversations.
Practice: Look at some pictures and practice the similar conversations.
Look at more pictures and learn new conversations:
Where are the…? They are …
Practice with a picture with many things in both singular and plural forms.
V. Listening
Listen and do 1b..
Check the answers.
Listen for the last time and repeat.
VI. Guessing game
Show a picture of a room with some furniture, and some flashing pictures with different things one by one. Guess: where is …? It’s… / Where are …? They are…

Practice the conversations with a picture or your own things.

Ⅹ Homework
Listen and read after the tape for thirty minutes.
Recite the first conversation of Section A, 1c.
