When is Labor Day? It is on ... Say sth about these holidays to make students interested . Step 2 Help students to review ‘there be’and what’s your favorite subject? And Do you have...? Say the names of months out and try to answer the questions. 教 学 过 程 教 学 内 容 学 生 活 动 Then finish the exercise 2 Step3 Help students remember the general present tense. Then ask students to change the sentence patterns and answer them. For example: He gets presents on his birthday. Does he get presents on his birthday? Yes, he does. No, he doesn’t. Sum up the sentences in this activity. On one’s birthday Come from Have classes Get up early Step 4 Use verb ‘be’ to make sentences and these sentences must be General questions and answer them. Review all forms of Patterns about the general present tense. Do ask and answer practice Practice general questions about ‘be’ 教 学 过 程 教 学 内 容 学 生 活 动 Step 6 Review ‘there be’ pattern Let students compare the differences between ‘there is’ and ‘there are’ and sum up the character. Step 7 Change the declarative sentences into general sentences about ‘there be’. Step 8 Go over possessive pronouns Then ask students to fill in the blanks with the possessive pronouns in the box.
