There is a supermarket down the street. 2. Ability aims: ⑴ Learn to talk about their ideas about festivals. ⑵ Learn to improve their speaking skills. 3. Emotion aims: Helping each other is very important. It is a good quality. II. Main Points Talk about how to impress where you want to go and your feelings. III. Difficult points Learn to understand and master objective clauses with wh-questions IV.Teaching Method Task-based teaching method, groupwork V. Teaching aids Tape recording, pictures. VI. Teaching Procedures Procedures Steps Teacher’s Activity Students’ Activity Step 1 Warming up&leading in 1. Greet the class . 2.Get the students to talk about whether they like to go amusement park 1.Show the homework in class. 2.Say out whether they like to go amusement park . Step 2 Reading ( 3a) 1.Get the Ss read the conversation for the first time and answer the questions in 3a. 2.Read the conversation carefully and find out the key expressions and sentences. 3.Explain the key points and read fast. 5.Let students read the conversation slowly again and understand the passage well. 1. Read the conversation in 3a. 1. Read the conversation and find out the answers. 2. Correct the answers. 4. Read again and find the detail. Step 3 practice 3b 1.Let the students read it again in 3b. 2.Ask them to underline the questions or statements in the conversation that ask for information, then rewrite them in a different way . 3.Correct the answers if they make mistakes. 4. Complete the sentences in 3c. 1. Read aloud. 2.Underline the questions or statements in the conversation that ask for information, then rewrite them in a different way . 3.Correct the answers. Step 4 Grammar Focus 1. Review the grammar box. Ask student to read the Grammar Focus first. 2.Ask students to focus on the usage of objective clauses with wh-questions. 1.Read the sentences in the grammar box. 2.Make sentences by using objective clauses with wh-questions. Step 5 Exercises (4a,4b, 4c) 1.Ask the students to read the sentences in 4a first, then rewrite the questions to make them more polite. 2. Ask the students to read the situations in 4b and make sentences to ask for information politely. 3. Get Ss to write four questions that a tourist might ask about your town, then role-play conversations with their partners. 1. Rewrite the questions to make the sentences more polite in 4a. 2.Make sentences to ask for information politely in 4b. 3.Write four questions that a tourist might ask about your town in 4c, then role-play conversations with their partners . Step6 Summary & Homework 1.Listen and read the conversation in 3a after the tape for a few times. 2.Copy Grammar Focus and translate them one by one. Finish off their homework carefully.
