Step1 Presentation
T: We have learnt some information about Halloween in this unit. Here are some questions to check how much you still remember. Get Ss to answer the following questions.
1. When is Halloween? Who celebrates Halloween?
2. How do people celebrate it
3. What do people do to celebrate Halloween?
4. Do you know how to play ‘trick or treat’?
T tells the students that if you want to know a festival, you first know “ what, who, how” etc. about this festival.
Step 2 Presentation
1.T presents Millie’s writing plan. T: Here is Millie’s writing plan in your textbook. It’s made by Millie. Please read it, and then tell me the information about what, when, who , how? According to Millie’s writing plan, get several students to answer questions about the Spring Festival orally.
2. Present Millie’s passage,. T: Now let’s help Millie complete her writing according to her writing plan. Ask a student to read the passage for checking the answers. Students read it together. Ask several students to recite the passage according to “what , when, who and how”.
Step 4 Writing
1. Before writing, T asks students to make a writing plan like Millie. At the same time, T may offer some information about different festivals.
2.Show several students’ writing on the screen. Other students read it to point out its advantages and disadvantages.
Step 5 Homework
1. Read the text and try to recite the passage
2. Recite the new words, phrases and sentences in the text.
