Step 1. Pre—task
Free talk with students about their daily life by asking them some questions. While doing this we can write their answers on the Bb.
Step2.Presentation
Lead the Ss change the directed speech into reported speech,besides the tense,the pronoun,the time,we should pay more attention to the other change.
Ask Ss to sum up the ways of changing the directed speech into reported speech.
Step3.exercises
Ask Ss to finish the exercises in Part A2 on Page107.ask five Ss to read aloud the answers.
Step4.Presentation
Tell the Ss we don’t need to change the tense if we are reporting a fact or if the information is still true.
Step5.exercises
1.Ask Ss to finish the exercises in Part B1 and B2.Check the answers.
2.After doing these ask students to do some exercises to consolidate.
