学生刚过学英语的新鲜期,正处于学习英语的困惑期,如：如何处理阅读理解中的生词，如何提高英语听力能力，如何记忆单词等等，通过本单元的学习，让学生能掌握更多的英语学习方法，从而大大提高英语学习能力。

学法指导
教师先引导学生读懂关于英语学习方法及学习建议的文章并获取细节信息，能够与同学交流学习心得，共享学习策略。

Give students a situation & encourage them to write a letter about how to learn English well.

学生的英语基础不够牢固，不能完整地表达意思。
1、教师可以让学生多练习句型并总结提炼结构。

2、可以让学生根据信息进行口头汇报。

3、可以让会读的同学教大家读。也可以老师领大家拼读。

教师提示学生找出段落的关键词、关键句。

教师可作简单的介绍，不宜作深入的分析。

教师要作适当的点拨和指导。

对于课文中出现的advice, advise 和suggest 等词，教师可以做一定的说明，但不要求学生进行辨析，更不需要学生进行有区别的运用。
