Teaching Procedure:
Step1.Listen to the tape and be familiar with the foreign song. Play the tape for several times. Let the students sing after it.
Step2.Show some pictures to the students. Let them say them in English. Talk about the pictures. The teacher gives new words to help them.
Step3. Read the song as a poem line by line.
Step4. Imagine the pictures that the song talks about. Act them out in front of the class.
Step5. Create new song according to what we learn in this text. Pay attention to the rhyme. Let’s sing together
Step6.Homework
1. Finish off the activity book.
2. Go on the next reading in the student book.
Summary:
Singing foreign songs is difficult for some students. The teacher may learn it well before class. Teach them in the class until they can sing it well. Let’s them listen some more times. Practice more, and they can grasp the song. Let them create more song according to what we learn in this text. They will think the song is easy.
