1、Lesson 33: 2800 Years of Sports一、 教材分析本单元主要是围绕奥运会和世界纪录来展开话题,通过本单元的学习,使学生了解有关奥运会的发展历史和世界纪录的相关情况,乐于接触并了解异国文化。在学习过程中,应该让学生能够对自己感兴趣的人物或事件,勇敢地用英语表达自己的看法,感受奥运健儿和世界纪录的创造者那种努力拼搏、不断超越自己的精神。Lesson 33主要是介绍奥运历史,让学生了解现代奥运是如何逐步形成的。在学习过程中,要让学生了解古代奥运和现代奥运的不同,学会对不同事物进行比较。1教学重点:让学生了解奥运发展历史2教学难点:如何引导学生描述在中国奥运史上的重要人物二、

What do you know about the Olympics?【设计思路】:引入新课,激发学习兴趣。Step 3 Presentation ( about 5 min )Show some pictures and ask questions, get the students to answer the questions and understand the meanings.
