Part I Writing
Recently the issue of pirated products has been brought into focus, such as pirated albums, books or soft wares. We may find ourselves surrounded by a sea of pirated products. Undoubtedly, it has been one of the most pervasive and destructive phenomena in the current world.
What are the reasons for it? In the following paragraph, I’ll venture to explore them.
To start with, the fixed prices of genuine goods are somehow beyond ordinary people’s purchasing power. Moreover, the law regulating sales market is not sound, which results in the possibility of pirated commodity. In addition, people who buy fake products are not aware of its disadvantages, especially in terms of after-sale service.
Piracy has caused great loss to the authors, inventors and producers, and it is no exaggeration to say that piracy is equal to stealing. In addition, piracy has no benefit for consumers in the long run.
In view of the severity of this issue, effective measures should be taken immediately. For one thing, it is high time each one started the battle against pirated products; for another, government ought to issue stricter regulations governing and eliminating piracy.

Part I Writing
As we all know, books, especially the classical, present the precious accumulation of wisdom and knowledge beyond the limitation of time or space, from which we can enjoy numerous anecdotes, get to know exotic culture and tradition, experience the legendary and miraculous life of our idols and make ourselves better men day by day.
Nevertheless, people, especially the young, seem to have stored those classical books merely on the shelf for an unbelievably long time, which can be attributed to various factors. On the one hand, modern people have to cope with the quick pace and unavoidable stress of their work or life; therefore, they can hardly devote time to reading books. On the other hand, people tend to be more material-oriented involving their social status, amount of wealth or prospects of getting promotion, which eclipse the important benefits from reading classical books.
To me, it is essential for most undergraduates to read certain classical books, especially ones filled with life-long motivation and sagacious thoughts, which may not guarantee them short-term returns but will bring them far-reaching reward. (178 words)

Foreign Fast Food
In the past decade, foreign fast food enterprises have streamed into every corner of our country in a surprising speed. Fast food restaurants such as KFC (Kentucky's Fried Chicken) and the McDonald's are popular with many Chinese, both children and adults. They love them because the foods provided are foreign and new. They have different taste from those traditional Chinese dishes. Moreover, foods in a foreign fast food restaurant are served much more quickly and conveniently than Chinese dishes.
However, many people refuse to eat foreign fast foods. First of all, those foods are far from economy. Usually an adult cannot make himself full without spending at least twenty yuan or more. Then those foods contain too much heat and fat. They do harm to people's health. This is said to be one of the reasons why there are so many overweight children in China nowadays. Finally some people believe that the over crowded foreign fast food restaurants are threatening traditional Chinese ones. It does no good to the development of Chinese dishes as well as our Chinese culture.
In my opinion, the existence of one thing has its own reasons. What's important is that we should notice the shortcomings of our own and learn merits from others. Only in this way can we survive the fierce competition in the global village.

Reserved Vacant Seats
Recently the topic of reserved seats on campuses is heatedly discussed. To stop students from doing so, in some universities, notices are put on in front of the buildings as warnings. In some universities, books are taken away from the reserved vacant seats by the management in intervals as a punishment. Even in some universities, students are fined if they take up seats but never study there.
Generally speaking, this problem is the most serious before final exams at the end of a semester when students have to sit up for various exams. They use books, bags, cups or some other objects to tell others those seats are reserved in case that their seats are taken by others after they leave for meals or sleep and then they can hardly find another.
Even so, I don't favor this action. It is quite common that those reserved seats are vacant with no people sitting there studying during working hours while many other students can only search one classroom after another, only to find no seats are left for them. It's really a waste of the limited educational resources. What's worse is that some, with seats in their hands, just idle away their precious time, unconscious of their misuse of time.
In my view, a student, working hard persistently all the time needn't do so before exams. And it is up to the management of universities to provide students with a better environment.
