一,Time is Money (1)
Benjamin Franklin wrote this in a letter to a young man over 250 years ago. It works both ways: money can buy you time, which is why we pay physicians and pharmaceutical companies after we have heart attacks. We can trade one for the other. But we can buy more money with time than we can buy time with money. The system is asymmetrical. There are people who are worth a billion dollars. No one I know is going to live 300 years unless a major breakthrough in medicine takes place.
A German man I know used to sell vacuum cleaners door to door. In Germany, this is still common. He sold the Vorwerk cleaner. He even sold one to my wife, back when Americans could legally buy them. It’s the best vacuum cleaner that my wife has ever seen.
The man who trained him in sales once asked a group of trainees if they would pay him the equivalent of $10 if he would show them how to earn 25% more money. They all did. Then he showed them how. "Work 25% longer."
But 25% more pay is not the heart of the matter. People who start businesses are more likely to get rich than anyone else. I have never known a business owner who worked an eight-hour day. All of them work at least ten hours, and most work on Saturdays. Yet they make far more than 25% more or even 50% more. If their business survives, they move into the top 20% of income earners.
It is not the fact that they work longer that makes the big difference. It is that they decide to meet the demand of consumers in a unique way – a way worth the consumers’ money. To do this, they must work long hours, because the consumers are demanding. The consumer says, "Work harder. I’ll pay you a lot more if you do." So, the business owner does.

We often hear the saying"Time is money."But I think time is much more precious than money.Because If we lost time, we can’t find it.But We can try to woke harder to get more money. No matter whatever you do ,you can not get lost time back.
"Time flies.time and tides wait for no men".You can see how important time is.Lunxun had said"I spent the time on my work while others are havig coffee."We must make good use of our time, especially for our students,we shouldn’t waste time in playing games and the like.

三,Five tips for time management(1)
Everyone is looking for ways to accomplishing more with their time. One way that many great time managers have found useful is keeping a good to do list. A to do list is where one writes down all the tasks they need to do. For those wishing to improve time management, presented below are five simple time management tips for using to do lists to get things done.
1. Write down everything you need to do on a notepad you keep with you. Always have the list within reach so you can use it to: make additions, focus on needed work, and determine what to do next.
2. Make sure the items on your to do list are indented about one inch from the left hand margin. This may seen like a waste of space, however this indention allows you the necessary space for prioritizing, setting dates, or adding status notes.
3. Divide the pages of your pad into two vertical columns by drawing a line down the middle. Use the right column for tasks that must be done today and the left column for future to do items.
4. Review and rewrite your list daily. This provides a cleaner list for your quick review. It also keeps you aware of what you need to accomplish and helps you focus on daily priorities and future goals.
5. Mark items that are completed with a checkmark or highlight with a different color. This allows you to review the list to see how much you have accomplished at the end of each day. Reviewing the list will give you a sense of accomplishment and encourage you to continue with your time management plan.

Need to get more done? (Who doesn't?!) Trade multitasking for these stellar time management strategies and watch your productivity soar.
1.Start With What's Important
A recent study from Florida State University shows that willpower is a resource--one that's used up over the course of the day. While it is possible to re-charge your self-control battery (small rewards, like a piece of chocolate, and regular mental downtime can help), it's best to tackle tasks that must get done first. "That way, you're sure to make strides in the areas that are truly important," says Julie Morgenstern, author of Never Check Email in the Morning.
2.Write It Down--Then Move On
"One big reason people can't stay on task is because their brains say, "Hey, did you remember X, Y and Z?'" Worried that they might forget, they turn their focus to the new task on their mind ... and something that should have taken 30 minutes to complete drags on all day," says Laura Stack, author of Leave the Office Earlier. A better tactic: Instead of constantly switching gears, quickly jot down your thoughts (either on paper or electronically) as they pop into your head, then immediately go back to what you were doing.
3.Don't Over-schedule
"Instead of booking every minute of every workday, leave some open time when you can catch up on anything new that comes in, or deal with old items that have been hanging around," advises Karen Leland, author of Time Management In An Instant: 60 Ways to Make the Most of Your Day.
4.Be Predictable
"Take a good look at your work flow, then group similar tasks together into three to five categories," advises Morgenstern. "Whenever possible, try to schedule the same categories for the same time period each day. For example, do your analytical work in the morning, your mentoring over lunch, your client interfacing in the afternoon and your financial analysis before you leave at night. When your day has a regular pattern, it becomes easier to focus. Your brain operates more efficiently because it knows which mode to be in and what to expect."
5.Get Smarter About The Tasks You Do Combine
The key is to intentionally pair activities that don't conflict or come at a cost to each other. Leland advises listening to business books while you commute to work, plowing through paperwork while waiting to see the doctor or having breakfast with a colleague.
6.Say "Not Now," And Mean It
There's perhaps no bigger time-suck than other people. But if you want to be efficient, you can't let other people's demands stand in the way of accomplishing critical tasks, says Stack. That's not to say you have to put off water-cooler chat entirely, nor should you stop returning your boss' phone calls. "Just be specific about when you're available," recommends Stack. "If you're in the middle of something, say, "Can I call you at 4 to talk about this?"
7.Look Farther Ahead
At the end of each day, Morgenstern recommends mapping out a plan for tomorrow as well as the following two days. "When you have a firm understanding of the three days ahead of you, you'll find that you're less vulnerable to feeling overwhelmed, and you'll have a better context for what constitutes a true crisis when unexpected situations arise, as they inevitably will." After all, says Morgenstern, there's no such thing as a workday without interruptions--but knowing which interruptions warrant your immediate attention can make all the difference in how much you're able to accomplish.

(二) good and bad things about marrying a foreigner
Hello everyone ! It is nice to talk about the things about marrying a foreigner,my ideas about the cross-country marrying are as follows:
Firstly ,I think the couple must have had a deeply understanding of tolerance, compromise ,and being open with each other , Because ,as we all know, marriages are based on mutual trust and respect. Secondly , to some degree ,mixed marriages will also have a good effect in the world peace , or the social progress, because of the cultural exchange between the two different nations.
However,on the other hand ,both of the couple have to live with the problems of their marriage, for there is always gap between two different cultures. For example:when shopping or eatting with your spouse out,he or she may request an aa paid. Besides you should also take the ideas from your parents into account, which is especially important in our country china here, not only is te communication problemsbetween yourfrients orrelationship is a barrar.
In a word , mixed-marriage is a sign of the open society . If you love somebady, just do it, that's all that matters.
That's all . thanks for listening.
三,whether mixe-marriages will cause changes to the couple involved
(1)With the modern soceity becomes more and more open and advanced, it is easy to acceptable for most people about mixed marriage. Marriage is just marriage, it is nothing to do with races, religions and countries, every person can marriage as long as they love each other.
Compared with traditional marriage, mixed marriage has two advantages. One is that it can promote the harmonious relationship between two different races or religions, weaken and reduce the possibility of the conflict. The other one is that it will improve human races gene, I believe mixed marriage can make races stronger, more beautiful and more smart generation by generation.
(2) Interracial marriages can cause many problems within the family. Due to the fact that the couple has a different family background, culture, and custom, and social class level, many disagreements can occur. Religion can be a problem. If the two has a different religion then the other one, there is a problem. Because some religions celebrate certain holidays while others don't. In Christianity, for example, Christians celebrate Christmas while Buddudists don't. Eating habits can also be a problem. One might eat certain food the other don't or dislike. After all, their offspring will encounter problems too. Childrens who are mixed are not likely to be accepted in certain areas in a community. They often have a hard time fitting in. Interracial marriage is not a good idea, but it is still alright to marry someone who is different than you.
(3)There are many problems for mixed marriages. The number one reason is the cultural differences between the mixed couple, like those in customs and lifestyle. Many people have prejudice against mixed marriages. They often feel shocked to see people of different races get married and have doubts about such marriages. What’s more, children from mixed marriages tend to be looked down upon or even badly treated by their peers. Mixed marriages face many trials, and as a result, mixed couples have higher divorce rates than couples of the same race.
Unit4
一,The love story that impressed me most
(1.) Being too problematic about a certain issue is not always a solution to every problem. There are a lot of ways for us to cope up with all the hardships that we encounter in life. Sometimes if we get what we want, we come to realize that it is not what we need. We have been blinded at first by the situation that will soon make us realize how unreasonable the decision was.
I haven't experienced such a relationship that will give me more happiness than pain or that which can be called as somewhat "close to perfect" relationship. All of us are been wanting to have such kind of a relationship with the ones we love but after some time we will realize that everything is going in vain and we are not happy anymore. Those are the times that both of you are already hurting each other unintentionally. At this very moment, the next solution you have in mind is breaking up. Letting all the tension between you cools down for a while but how can you do it if the love is still there; alive inside your heart.
When I was a little girl, I always thought that i will be happy when I fall in love but now, I have realized that if you start to learn how to love and give your heart to someone, you also give them the right to hurt you. The reason why I am suffering is not because my love has end but because it still continues even after the relationship is over.
According to one of my favorite lines in a movie, the three things that cannot be hidden are poverty, cough and love. At the time that you try to hide it these three things appear even more clearly. But most of the time, we really want to hide it like love. If you want to hide love, just cry. Let your heart be free from all those emotions by crying. Let it all flow in your eyes like it will be over as soon as your eyes get dry. If your head gets tired and empty, then cry again. Just learn how to let go of your emotions by crying, it will help you feel better.
Most of the time in my life, I have cried. I have been hurt more often than being happy. I have learned that some of us were just born to be lucky to experience more happine
