1、餐厅Restaurant 一般全套的西餐通常包括开胃菜(appetizer)、汤(soup)、色拉(salad)、主菜(entrees or main course)、甜点(desserts)以及咖啡(coffee)或茶(tea)。服务员大致会用下列句子询问顾客的要求:“Are you ready to order?(可以点餐了吗?)”“Would you like some appetizer?(您先来点开胃菜吗?)”“What would you like to drink?(您想喝点什么?)”“Would you care for any dessert?(要来些点心吗?)”“Can I
2、 get you some coffee or tea?(要不要喝点茶或咖啡?)”。若不想点汤、色拉等开胃菜的话,可以直接点主菜。点菜时如果对菜单内容不熟悉,或想知道餐厅的招牌菜或其他服务的话,可直接询问服务员。你也可以要求餐厅配合自己的饮食习惯或喜好。另外,需要服务员服务时,举手示意即可,切记不要大声喧哗。 吃不完的东西要打包时可以对服务员说:“Please wrap it up.(请帮我打包。)”或“Ill need a doggy bag/box.(我要打包的袋子/盒子。)”,但在高级餐厅则最好说:“Can you give me a box?(给我个盒子好吗?)”,这样显得比较礼貌。
3、国内“吃到饱”的餐厅很普遍,但国外很少,即使有,多半也是以学生为主,或在华人、韩国人开设的餐厅里才看得到。所以,有些西餐厅即使是自助式的供餐方式,也不一定就是可以任君吃到饱的。因此,在选择用餐去处之前,一定要弄清楚,以免贻笑大方。此外,在餐厅用餐时,最忌讳拼命将菜肴往盘里堆得老高;同时,取菜时也应依照冷菜、热菜、甜点的顺序,用公用的茶匙酌量取菜,吃完再拿。 在英美国家的餐厅用餐时还得注意抽烟的问题。通常情况下,餐厅里专门设置了吸烟室。一般的餐厅里有“No smoking.”的字样。即使你没有看见这样的标语,也不能随便抽烟,而应事先征得别人的同意,这时可以说“Would you mind if
