3、terialThis lesson is an extensive reading passage of Turandot in Beijing. Which plays a very important role in this unit. The topic of this unit is Turandot. By reading a review of an opera, Ss had a general understanging of the writer and the background information of Turandot and different sentenc
4、es to talk about their favourite musicians, and idols. This passage talks about the world-famous cellist, YO-YO Ma. To help students understand better, I made the following Teaching aims. 1) Teaching aims: Knowledge aims: Understand the background information about YO-YO Ma; information about Grammy
5、 Awards and the Grammyphone Awards; Ability aims: Organize an interview and talk about YO-YO Ma; Emotional aims: Build a positive attitude towards YO-YO Ma.2) Teaching important points:Train the students reading ability and develop their reading skills. Enable the students to understand what an inte
6、rview is. 3) Teaching difficult points: Part 2. Something about the studentsAs the center of my class, my students have already acquired a certain amount of words and expressions, and equipped with basic reading skills, which make it possible to generally understand the passage. While they have lear
7、ned English for several years, they are still in lack of the background knowledge of the English, such as the history of English , how it changes and why. Whats more, they need more chance to practice the reading skills, so that they can use correctly and freely. Concerning of the teaching material
8、and my students learning condition , I set following achievable and practical Learning Objectives They are lack of the background information about YO-YO Ma.They are enthusiastic about listening to music and talking about music.They cant tell the differences of different music styles. 10、学,使学生通过英国音乐杂志记者Jane Jones的剧评,了解“图兰朵”的作者及故事背景,学会使用适当句型来评论自己喜欢的作曲家、歌星或乐队;在语法上学习有关Ellipsis省略的用法,能根据不同情况使用;能写一篇书评或为英语流行歌曲写篇评论。整个单元帮助学生发现音乐的魅力,通过欣赏著名歌剧及世界著名音乐家的历史,激发学生的学习兴趣,培养学生的音乐鉴赏能力及个人的综合素质,帮助学生理解各种音乐的创作特点。最终让学生了解音乐作为世界性的语言,把全人类紧密的联系起来。 通过阅读,使学生了解歌剧图兰朵的故事内容、作者及表演形式。活动A中的三个问题的设计,旨在培养学生快速阅读技巧;B是关于英国音乐杂志记者所写的剧评,以及相关的阅读策略:如何写剧评;活动C1、C2是对文章细节内容的考查;D部分是训练学生理解和运用乐器词汇的能力;E部分是训练学生在邮件中运用词汇的能力;F部分通过讨论三个问题,引导学生就音乐对人类的影响及表现形式进行深刻的讨论。
