导学3 suit 作动词,意为“适合,适宜于”;它还可以作名词,意为“(一套)衣服、西装”。如:
a man’s suit 一套男装 a suit of clothes 一套衣服

(四)进一步学习定语从句(三)
1.被定语从句修饰的名词,即先行词是物时,既可用which,也可用that.但如果先行词是指物,又是不定代词,或被形容词最高级、序数词,a little, only 等修饰时,关系代词只用that,不用which。that 在定语从句中作宾词可省略。
eg ①Is there anything (that) I can do for you?
②The first thing (that) we should do is to help him.
③Look, the tallest animal that is drinking water is an elephant.
2. 被定语从句修饰的名词既有人又有物时,只能用that.
eg: The boy and the dog that are running on the road look very happy.
