Teaching Objectives:
1. Be able to listen to and say these words: left, right, turn, soldiers, traffic policemen.
2. Be able to use “What are we?” You are …, “Are you …?”, “Yes, we are…”, “No, we are…”.
3. Cultivate students to set goals and try to achieve them.
Teaching focus:
Be able to say and listen to words and the sentence patterns。
Teaching difficulties:
The students can use “What are we?” “Are you …” to play games and communicate with the partners.
Teaching aids:
CAI, word cards.
Teaching procedures:
Step 1: Warming up
1. Greetings
2. Dancing “THE RABBIT DANCE”.
3. Play a guessing game.
Step 2: Presentation
1.Learn the new words :left, right , turn left/ right.
a. Listen to the orders: offer their left or right hands.
b. Follow me: turn left, turn right.
c. Teach to read the words with action: left, right, turn left, turn right.
d. Let’s do the exercises.
2. Listen and do
Ask 8 students come to the front, listen to the teacher or students’ order and do the action, just as left, right, turn left, turn right.
3. Teach to read the word: soldiers.
a. Watch CAI, compare a soldier with soldiers.
b. Help the Ss to say We are soldiers. with the actions.
c. Then teach traffic police in the same way.
4. A game: listen and guess.
T: You should listen and point out the words soldiers, traffic police. Then, use the sentences: Are you soldiers/ traffic police? Find out the person.
5. Teach the sentences: What are we? Are you soldiers /traffic police?
6. Open the books and learn the text.
a. Listen, point and repeat.
b. Read and act follow the teacher.
c. Act the text in groups.
Step 3 Consolidation
1. To know the other job words. Teacher, doctor, nurse, farmer, driver, pupil.
2. Talk about what you want to be?
