2013初中英语教学设计 Lesson Plan of Unit 9 Do you want to go to a movie? The First Period   I.Content:1a---1c(page53) II. Objectives: 1.Students will learn some expressions of movies by heart and use them edy,thriller,documentary,action movie and so on. 2. Students will learn some useful pattern drills by heart and imitate them in daily talk. eg; Do you want to go to a movie? Yes,I do/I like….I want to see an action /comedy movie. 3.Students will be able to know how to talk about preferences and make plans by practicing conversations in pairs. 4. Students will be able to have a good understanding for the movie culture with the teacher’s guidence. III.Teaching Procedures: Step 1:Lead in    (10 minutes) 1.Ask several students to write some names of the movies they like on the blackboard. (class work) 2.Ask students to talk about the movies they like and tell the reasons why they like the movie.(pair work) It can be like this:   "Which movie do you like?"  “I like …” “Why do you like it?”      “Because it’s very funny.” 3.Write down the kinds of movies on the blackboard. Then tell the students to read and spell the new words. (class work) action movie                 comedy documentary                 thriller 4.Ask the students to match the kinds of movies with the posters in 1a, Section A. [设计说明] 师生之间对几个问题的自由谈论,迅速激活了学生的生活经历与相关的背景知识,启发了学生兴趣并拉近了师生之间的距离。教师在自由交谈的过程中引入课文中的生词,同时结合图片,组织学生学习运用,为下面的听说活动扫清障碍。 Step 2: Filling a chart (5 minutes) Ask students to finish the following charts with the names of the following movies on the blackboard.( single work) Soong Chingling《宋庆龄》, Washington, George《乔治•华盛顿》, Rambo-the First Blood《第一滴血》, Kung Fu Hustle(《功夫》), Kicking and Screaming(《足球老爸》), Be Cool《一酷到底》,Alone in the Dark《鬼屋魔影》,Land of the Dead《死地》,Million Dollar Baby《百万宝贝》,Saving Face《面子》  Action movie Comedy Romance Thriller Documentaries                        [设计说明] 本环节通过设计真实的任务型活动—让学生将中外流行的影片归类,吸引学生主动参与课堂活动,并让学生通过运用去体会与内化本课重点生词,为下面的听说练习搭建较好的支架。 Step 3: Listening  practice  (10 minutes) 1. Listen and circle (single work) Ask the students to listen to the conversations in 1b, Section A three times and circle the kinds of movies they hear in the conversations. Then check the answers. Tapescript: Boy:      Do you want to go to a movie? Girl:       yeah, I do. Boy:      Do you want to go to an action movie? Girl:       No, I don’t. I want to go to a comedy. 2. Listen and repeat (class work) Play the tape again. Ask the students to listen to each dialogue and repeat after it. This time ask the students to try to imitate the pronunciation and intonation of the recording.   [设计说明]本环节的听力训练旨在训练学生把握对话大意,善于捕捉关键词句,排除冗余信息的技能。在活动2中的听读训练中,学生通过跟读来揣摩句子的重读,弱读,失去爆破等现象,既掌握一些朗读技巧,提高听能水平,还促进对语言的整体感悟力,达到了听读的有机结合。 Step 4: Oral  practice( 15 minutes) 1. Read the dialogue 1c ( pair work). Ask the students to read the dialogue fluently and correctly with the right pronunication . Then have several pairs read it aloud. 2.Ask students to make a conversation with the following words phrases ( pair work). eg:go to movie/ yes/no/want tosee/action movie/comedy/ 3.Suppose some students will go to movie this weekend.Ask students to talk about their preferences and make a plan by using the key sentence pattern.(group work) [设计说明]本环节的口语训练遵循了由易到繁难,由简到繁,循序渐进的过程。从机械训练开始,过渡到半机械训练,最后较真实的情景中达到自由交际。 Step 5: Assessment (9 minutes) Let 3 or more pairs show  their plans are in class. Both teachers and students to give their comments for each show.At last teacher will also give a summary for the  whole activity. (class work) [设计说明] 请学生上讲台展示他们所编排的对话,让其他学生欣赏并点评。通过对比同学的表演,学生之间彼此找出自己的不足;通过老师的点评,纠错示范及总结,学生进一步掌握本课时语言知识,提高听说技能。同时在教师引导下,学生互相学习,集思广益,取长补短,激发了学习的兴趣,培养了合作学习的策略。 Step6: Homework  ( 1 minute) 1.Ask the students to listen to the conversations in 1b, of SectionA1b and try to follow it 2.ask student to make a family suvery---what kind of movies do your family members like? Try to give a report in class next time.  [设计说明]] 作业1是课堂听读训练的延伸。旨在让学生听音并模仿,培养良好的语感。 作业2是一个开放型的任务活动。旨在让学生在”做中学”,巩固内化本节课的词汇及句型,同时为下节课的语言学习起到了承上启下的过渡作用。
