Unit 5 Active animals 教学设计 一、 Teaching aim 1.Can read and remember the vocabulary. 2.Be able to make sentences according to the pictures. 3.Read and recite the text. 二、 Important and difficult point 1.Vocabulary: ant, parrot, repeat, eagle, whale, surprising, km, hour, voice, speak, zero, spell, snail, gorilla, step, Phrase:no way, have pity on, in fact  2. They may become dishes on the table any time.  3. Could you please not eat them?  4. I may die without them. 三、 Teaching aids Radio、cards、VCD、tapes 四、 Teaching process Step I Warm –up 1. Greetings 2. Duty topic Step II Revision 1. Revise the words and the phrases. 2. Ask the pupils some questions Step III Presentation 1. Write the words work very hard, run very fast, live very long on the board. 2. Teach the phrases work the hardest, run the fastest and live the longest. Explain that we can use these phrases to talk about different animals. 3. Encourage the students to use comparatives and superlatives. Step IV Practice 1. (Books open.) Show Transparency and play the Pupil's Book Cassette. The first time, ask the class to listen and follow along in their books. The second time , pause the tape and ask the students to repeat the sentences 2. Point to each of the picture in turn and ask the student to tell you what is happening in each picture. Step V Sum-up 1. The first time the class should listen and follow along in their books. The second time the students should repeat the sentences 2. The students should read the dialogue at the bottom of the page. Then they should complete the dialogue using the information on the page. 3. The students should match the correct pictures of animals with the words. 五、Homework 1. Read the text and the sentence. 2. Copy the text and sentence one time. 3. Preview Unit 6.
