1、例题:角锥喇叭建模尺寸6in4in3in5.16in1.9442.650.4in0.9in0.315inAir boxHorn AntennaThe base of the Horn一、创建工程第一步:打开HFSS并保存新工程 打开 HFSS 软件后,自动创建一个新工程:Project1。由主菜单选 FileSave as,保存在指定的文件夹内,命名为horn。一、创建工程第二步:插入HFSS设计 由主菜单选 Project Insert HFSS Design,则一个新项目自动加入到工程树中,默认名 HFSSModel1。同时,在工程树的右侧出现绘图窗口。在工程树中选择 HFSSModel1

2、,点右键,选择 Rename项,将设计命名为 HornModel。一、创建工程第三步:选择求解类型 由主菜单选 HFSSSolution Type,在弹出对话窗选择Driven Model 项。一、创建工程第四步:设置单位:由主菜单选 3D ModelerUnits,在 Set Model Units 对话框中选中 in 项。二、创建模型1.Drawing the base of the Horn Click the Box icon or go to DrawRectangle.Now move the cursor to one corner of the top of the anten

3、na base,and click on it,then move the cursor to the opposite corner of the top of the antenna base and click again.The rectangle window is open.Type funnel_base.Assignmaterial to be vacuum.Choose Color and Transparency of your preference.Click Ok.Note that the dimensions of the rectangle should matc

4、h those of the top of theantenna base.二、创建模型3.Drawing the Horn Aperture Next,draw the 2D rectangle that represents the top of the funnel,or the aperture of the horn.Click Rectangle icon or DrawRectangle.Type in the following values:0.972,1.325,5.475 for x,y and z,respectively.Then type the following

5、 values:-1.944 and-2.65 for dx and dy,respectively.Type horn_top in the name field.Assign material tobe vacuum.Choose the Color and Transparency at you preference.Click Ok.二、创建模型4.Connecting 2D Objects to Create the Funnel Now you can connect the 2D objects that make up the base and the top of the f

6、unnel to create the 3D,funnel-shaped object.Choose the horn_top and funnel_base from the Model tree by holding down the Ctrl key.Go to 3D Modeler Surface connect.Name it funnel.Note that the object that is created as a result of connecting or uniting other objects can not be edited.When connecting 2

7、D objects,for example,you can edit the original 2D objects,but you can not edit directly the 3D object that is the result of using the connect command.二、创建模型5.Uniting the horn base with the Funnel Although it is not strictly necessary,you will unite the two 3D objects-the horn base and the funnel,to

8、 create one 3D horn antenna structure.This makes the problem simpler by keeping the number of objects to a minimum.Choose base and funnel from the list of 3D objects.Then 3D ModelerBooleanUnite.Then clink Ok.二、创建模型6.Drawing the 3D Air Box Around the Horn Antenna To simulate the horn antenna,you need

9、 to enclose it in a bounded“box”of air.Click Box icon or DrawBox.Type in the following values:-1.5,-2,and 0 for x,y,and z,respectively and 3,4,and 6 for dx,dy,and dz,respectively.Type AirBox in the name field,vacuum is the assigned material and choose Color and Transparency at your preference.Click

10、Ok.三、设置边界条件和激励源Choose the surfaces of the horn and assign Perfect E.All faces of the horn should be chosen except the top and the bottom.Then Boundaries right click Assign Perfect Eand name it PerfE_horn_sides.三、设置边界条件和激励源Assign radiation boundary to the air box.Choose the faces of the air box andBo

11、undaries right-click AssignRadiation.Name it rad_air.三、设置边界条件和激励源Assign Excitation to the bottom face of the horn.ExcitationsSetup1 Add sweep.Set the values to the following:Sweep Type is fast,Frequency Setup type is Linear count,Start is 8 GHz,Stop is 12 GHz and Count is 100.四、设置求解项并分析 Make sure to

12、 validate check.HFSSValidation Check.Run Analysis.HFSSCreate Report.Accept the Default values by clicking Ok.Make sure the following values are set as in Figure 6.Add Trace,then click Done.五、察看结果图Creating a Far field PlotThe far field plot is a 3-D plot of the far-field radiation pattern.Right-click

14、ar field plot is a 3-D plot of the far-field radiation pattern.When Traces Window open,leave the values as set.Make sure it is the Last Adaptive in the Solution field and Geometry is InfiniteSphere1.Under Sweep tab,make sure Phi is the primary sweep and Theta is the secondary sweep and all values are checked.Make sure rE is picked under Category,rE Total under quantity and none under function.Click Add Trace,then Done.
