英文中，可以用get off to a XX start来表示“有了一个……的开端”，中间填补形容词即可.
　　除了good/bad这种路人样的词，我再补充一些。
　　表示一开始并不顺利：get off to a rocky start。
　　例如有的人成家，纯粹是为了应付家里老两口的催婚，加之年岁大了不等人,就找了个差不多的凑合配对.那他们的婚姻基础是摇摇欲坠的、分分钟破裂的节奏。所以可以说:Their marriage got off to a rocky start。(那段婚姻一开始就不稳固.)
　　表示开局进入状态较慢：get off to a slow start。例如有的选秀参赛者，性格慢热,直到赛程过半之后才开始大放异彩、后来居上.那就是:The contestant got off to a slow start, but picked up and became a success later in the show.
　　当然人人都希望“开门红”，即“get off to a flying start”。比如小朱，一进公司就做成了好些大项目,迅速受到全体人关注,那小朱就属于“got off to a flying start”。
　　可是，人生不是五十米短跑,而是旷日持久的马拉松。风水轮流转嘛，说不定你get off to a rocky start，最终却have a happy ending笑傲江湖。
4. sourpuss讨人嫌的家伙，满腹牢骚的人(noun)
　Sourpuss做名词，用来指代“a person whose facial expression or nature is habitually gloomy （沮丧的，阴郁的）or sullen(不高兴的，阴沉的）”，就是那些“整天绷着脸的、面色阴沉的人；或是脾气乖戾、令人扫兴的人”。
　英文中还有一词来形容这种，就是poker face(扑克牌般的脸），用来形容面瘫，那是相当栩栩如生啊！
再例如,女孩子在逛街，很烦身旁人唧唧歪歪，嫌这个贵了、那个不实用.此时这样的人就是十足的sourpuss。所以Girls would love to go shopping freely and be away from sourpuss boyfriends。(女生希望自由购物，远离扫兴的男友。）
