The conversation between Lingling and Betty is mainly about the animals in danger and how to protect them. It introduces the living condition of the endangered animals and how the human beings influence them.

Step1: Lead in
Play a guessing game with students.

Step2: Listening
Listen to the tape in Activity 2 and answer the questions:

Step3: Discussion
Show some pictures and play a video. Ask students to talk about the reasons why animals are in danger.

1. Ask students to read the dialogue and answer the questions.
