a little 可以修饰形容词或副词的比较级，表示“一点儿”的意思。

类似的结构： neck and neck 齐头并进； hand in hand 手拉手； back to back 背对背；
4. Let me find out the information online. 让我在网上查些资料。
A. find out 是个短语动词，表示“搞清楚”、“弄明白”的意思，而且是经过研究、计算、探询等获知，得知。
Please help me to find out what time the train leaves. 请帮我查明火车出发的时间。
B. find 是个及物动词,表示找到,主要强调“寻找”的结果,而不表示“寻找”的过程。
At last , I found it. 最后，我找到它了。
C. look for 寻找；表示“寻找”的过程和动作。
I’m looking for my pen. 我正在寻找我的钢笔。
5. The Internet makes the world smaller. 因特网使世界变小。
the internet 主语； make 谓语； the world 宾语； smaller 宾语补足语；
宾语补足语: 放在宾语之后，用于补充说明宾语做某事或宾语怎么样。
make的用法：make sb./sth. do; make sb./sth. n.; make sb/sth. adj.
He often makes us laugh. 他经常使我们大笑。
They made Mr. Brown headmaster. 他们选了他为校长。
The funny movie makes us happy.那部搞笑的电影使我们开心。
类此的结构：
① keep sb. doing 使某人保持做… keep sth/sb. adj. 使某人/某物…
② help sb. (to) do 帮助某人做…
③ ask/want/tell/ get / advise/ encourage / would like /follow/ wish sb. to do
④ let/ make / have /sb. do 让某人做…
⑤ see/ hear/ feel/ watch/ notice / find sb. do/doing 看见某人做了…/正在做…
6. Scientist started to study the Internet in the 1960s and made it in to use in the 1990s.科学家在20世纪60年代开始研究因特网，并在90年代将其投入使用。
(1) use 此处为名词，意为“运用，使用”, make it into use 将其投入使用；
Computer first came into use in the early 1950s. 计算机在20世纪50年代初开始使用。
(2) in the 1960s 意为“20世纪60年代”，也可以写成“in the 1960’s”, 读作 nineteen sixties.

1. Guess what! (口语）你猜怎么着！
2. What did it look like? 它长什么样？
look like 看起来像……，like 是介词，后接动名词。
Jack looks like his father. 杰克长得像他的爸爸。
3. I’m sure you can find lots of information on the Internet now. 我相信现在你会在网上找到很多信息。
A. be sure +(that)从句，表“确信…” ；
I’m sure (that) eating too much is bad for you. 我确信吃太多对你不好。
B. be sure to do sth..确信做某事；
We are sure to win next time. 我们确信下次我们会赢。
C. be sure of/about (doing)sth. 表确信(做)某事 ；
I’m sure of that. 我对那件事很确定。
D. be not sure + whether/ if 引导的从句，意为“不确定是否……”。
I’m not sure whether it will be sunny tomorrow. 我不确信明天是否晴天。
Section C
1. The Internet makes our lives more interesting. 因特网让我们的生活更有趣。
2. We can get all kinds of information on the Internet and share it with other.我们可以从网上得到各种各样的信息而且同别人分享。
(1) all kinds of 各种各样的； different kinds of 不同种类的；
There are all kinds of books in the library. 图书馆里有各种各样的书。
(2) share.... with..... 与……分享；
I’d like to share my happiness with you. 我想和你分享我的幸福。
3. We should use it safely. 我们应该安全地利用它。
safely adv. 安全地。 形容词是safe名词是safety。
The plane landed safely. 飞机安全地着陆了。
Safety first！安全第一！
4. However, the Internet is not perfect . 然而，互联网并不是完美无缺的。
however 然而，表示转折,可放在句首、句中或句末，通常用逗号与句子其他成分隔开。 We all tried our best , however, we lost the game. 虽然我们都尽力了，但是我们还是输掉了比赛。
5. Some young people usually spend too much time playing games and so on.有些年轻人花太多时间玩游戏等等。
(1) spend sth. on sth. 花费……在某物上；spend sth. (in) doing sth. 花费……在做某事上；
I spend 10 yuan on this book. = I spend 10 yuan buying this book. 我花了十块钱买了这本书。
(2) and so on 等等（用于句末，表示同类事物还有很多）；
I like apples, bananas,oranges and so on. 我喜欢苹果、香蕉、橘子等等。
6. The Internet can change our lives for the better, but we should use it carefully. 只有我们运用恰当，因特网才能使我们生活变得更好。
for the better 意为“向着较好的情况转变”；相对应的词组：for the worse；
I hope the weather will soon change for the better.我希望天气将会很快好转。.
In May,her illness turned for the worse.五月里，她的病情恶化了。

1. Learning English on the Internet is easy and fun! 网上学习英语又简单又有趣。
2. Life in the future will be different from life today. 未来的生活将和现在的生活不同。
3. Finally, it’s possible to look up new words in an online dictionary. 最后，在网络词典里面查新单词是有可能的。
look up 在……（书或资料等中）查找、查阅，当后面跟的是名词时，一般放在后面；但如果是代词时，一定要放在中间。look up 还有“向上看”的意思；

三． 重点语法---------现在进行时与过去进行时：
现在进行时与过去进行时的区别：
１.现在进行时表示现在正在发生或正在做的事情，基本结构be＋现在分词。
肯定句：The robots are making a car now. 这些机器人正在生产小汽车。
否定句：We are not studying on the Internet. 我们没有在互联网上学习。
疑问句：Is the teacher looking up the word in the dictionary？这个老师正在词典中查这个词吗？
特殊疑问句：Ｗho am I talking to？我在和谁谈话？
2.过去进行时表示过去某一时间，正在发生或正在做的事情。基本结构was（were）＋现在分词。
肯定句：Ｗhen he came in,I was writing a letter.当他进来时，我在写一封信。
否定句：They weren’t watching TV while she was reading. 她读书时，他们没在看电视。
疑问句：Was the UFO flying to us at 8 last night ? 昨晚８点UFO向我们飞来了吗？
特殊疑问句：What were you drinking while we were sleeping?我们睡觉时，你们在喝什么？
进行时态往往用在时间状语从句中，常与when,while等连词搭配。

I am Cathy Brown. I am from America. I am working for the Sunshine Travel Agency(旅行社) in Changsha now.
Last week I took a group of French holiday-makers for a week’s trip to Taiwan. We traveled all around the island(岛). It is very beautiful. There are a lot of places of interest. My favorite place is the Sun and Moon Lake. You may ask why people call it so. If you fly high up over the lake and look down from your plane, you will find the answer yourself. In the middle of this lake, there is a small island. People call it the Pearl Island(珍珠岛) because it looks like a pearl. On one side of the Pearl Island, the lake looks like a sun, and on the other side, it looks like a moon. That is why people call it the Sun and Moon Lake.
There are many mountains around the Sun and Moon Lake. One of the most famous ones is the Ali Mountain. We stayed there for three days. We also had a dance party with Gaoshan people. On our first day there, we watched the sun going down slowly in the west. On our last day, we got up early and saw a very beautiful sunrise(日出).
Taiwan is a wonderful place to visit.
