GARY: How was the exam, Richard ?

RICHARD: Not too bad. I think I passed in English and Mathematics. The questions were very easy. How about you, Gary?
理查德：不算太坏,我想我的英语和数学及格了.题目很容易.加里,你怎么样？
GARY: The English and Maths papers weren't easy enough for me. I hope I haven't failed.
加里：英语和数学试题对我来说不很容易。我希望别不及格。
RICHARD: I think I failed the French paper.I could answer sixteen of the question. They were very easy. But I couldn't answer the rest. They were too difficult for me.
理查德：我想我的法语及不了格,我能回答其中的16道题。这些题很容易。但我回答不出其作的题。那些题对我来说太难了。
GARY: French test are awful, aren't they?

RICHARD: I hate them. I'm sure I've got a low mark.

not too bad 不算太坏
too 表示过于,具有否定含义.
eg. It's too heavy. I can't lift it.
太重了,我搬不动.
The room is too small.
房间太小了.
too ...for sb to do 对某人来说太...以至于不断...
eg. The exam is too difficult for her to pass.
考试太难,以至于她不能通过.
eg. The boy is too young to join the army.
这个男孩太小了,还不能参军.
eg. It's too difficult for the child to do it.
这件事对这个孩子来说太难做了.
not too bad 不算太坏
too ....that... ( that 从句-否定形式 )
eg. The boy is too young that he can't join the army.
这个男孩太小, 还不能参军.
I think 后面接宾语从句.
pass 通过考试
pass in +科目
How about ....? ....怎么样? 用来征求别人的意见、询问情况、相当于 What about...?

enough 的用法
一般放在形容词之后使用
eg. The room is big enough for us.
这个房间对我们来说够大了.

enough 放在名词之前
eg. He didn't buy the compter, because he didn't have enough money.
他没有买计算机,因为他没有钱了.
enough ...for sb/sth to do sth
eg. The room isn't big enough for three people to live in.
这个房间不够大,不够三个人住.
eg. Your son is old enough to live by himself.
你的儿子够大了，可以自立了．
I hope 后面接宾语从句
I hope that I haven't failed.

failed 是 fail 的过去式
fail the French paper 法语不及格
could 是can 的过去式, 表示能够,这个考试发生在过去,所以用could.

the rest 指的是其余的,其它的考题
too difficult for me 对我来说太难了.

法语太可怕了，你说呢？（ 这是一个反意疑问句）

I'm sure 后面接宾语从句
I've got = I have got = I have
a low mark 低分
