Step 1:warming up

Step 2:Presentation(Who answer my question,you can get a star. When after the class,we find the winner together.)
1.I have a pet, it is a lovely dog.Do you agree with me?
One day,my dog was taken away by the man.And the man doesn’t give the dog food and water.(一天,狗被带走了,那个人不给狗食物也不给狗狗水)So the dog says:“GIve me some food and water.”(给我一些食物和水)
So the dog is very-------.引出单词hungry 和 poor.
2.教师播放录音,学生边听边看图片,初步感知故事大意,在了解故事的基础上回答下列问题:1.How many persons are there in the story?(在故事中有几个人物?)2.Does the man like the dog?(那个男人喜欢狗吗?)3.Who helps the dog?(谁帮助了狗?)
3. 引导学生分层理解和学习故事:第一层:on the way to school.听听力并回答下列问题1.What do they see(看见) on their way to school?2.Do they like the dog?学生模仿录音读。
第二层:The next day、a day later、at school
学生听听力,回答下列问题1.When they give the food to the dog,who stops them?2.What does the man say?3.When they go to school,what do they do?
抓住Mike 和Emma 帮助dog的几个过程,以及the man 的态度,引导学生理解和朗读:Go away!You stupid dog.He‵s on a chain.He needs food 、water and love等。
第三层:in the phone box、two hours later、a week later
